June NCLEX takers

Published

Hello everyone I thought I should start a post for all of us taking the NCLEX in June. Let's discuss what we are studying and what day are you testing? I take mine June 13th. My school was big on ATI so I did the VATI and doing a lot of codes for ATI. I'm reading the NCLEX book they gave us for the 3 day review. I'm also doing the NCLEX mastery app and going to purchase UWORLD tomorrow and do that for the remainder until the exam. I'm also in Illinois btw taking the PN.

June 2nd! Doing uworld in sets of 75. Also Saunders and LaCharity

edit to add: I did ATI live review through my school as well

Good luck tomorrow you got this!!!!!

June 15th, NCLEX-RN. I did the live Hurst Review twice and now working on the online portion. I have also been doing the free UWorld questions online since it has gotten good reviews. Good luck to everyone!

I took my exam on the 31st of May, but it's close enough to June. I sat for NCLEX three time and I just found out this morning that I passed the 3rd time! I used NCSBN, Kaplan, and lacharity for this last attempt. NCSBN was my favorite recourse for practicing questions, they were almost identical to actual nclex. Kaplan was helpful for learning strategies and how to look at the questions, their questions are good quality too. I didn't rely too much on their decision tree though because I found it distracted me from the actual question sometimes (leading me to the wrong answer). Lacharity helped me master priority and delegation questions, which was most of my exam. My strategy for practice was practicing one question at a time in practice mode the first couple of weeks. This helped me slow down, really understand the question, and it helped me think through all the answer choices. Practice mode is also great because you learn the information right after answering it rather than waiting for the remaining 75 questions and forgetting the question all together. As the test got closer I did 3 - 4 longer exams (75 - 150 questions) a week. I only looked up content that I didn't know, I didn't want to waist time on information that I already knew. What helped me most is using good quality NCLEX questions and focusing on quality NOT quantity. How you think about and answer a question is more important than how fast you answer it. If you are going fast and getting all questions wrong then you won't pass. Even in you run out of time while being slow and consistent you have a good chance of still passing. Hope this helps someone.

I was able to bump my test up to May 31st, found out yesterday that I passed with 75 questions! Best of luck to everyone with the NCLEX!!!

how was it ???

June 28th taking the NCLEX RN in Maryland. Graduated May 18, but I have been studying for NCLEX since December. I attended Kaplan review the last week of school and working on their Qbank now. Also, usind the NCLEX RN mastery App on the go and after so many positive reviews in allnurses about UWORLD I might give it a try. Good luck to everyone testing in June and in other months. We can DO this! [emoji123]🏼

Took mine on June 1st in CA, waiting for results :dead:

I'm taking the RN on June 13th in Southern California. I've been using UWorld as well as ATI. Both have been super helpful, but I've learned the most from UWorld since the rationales are so detailed. I'm nervous!!

how was it ???

So much easier than UWORLD, I had such a random assortment of questions and NO MATH! Shut off at 75, was sure I failed, but my license posted this morning so I passed!

I test June 3!!:) Florida

I am using ATI, Saunders, PDA, and Uworld. Absolutely love the rationales in Uworld!

Good luck today!!
