June 2008 NCLEX support group

Published

This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.

To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.

Thanks!

I am sorry to hear this. I also did not pass my first time and know how discouraging it can be. Take a couple of days off to recharge yourself and then start anew. Come up with a schedule and try your best to stick to it. Good luck!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!:yeah::yeah::yeah:

I took my test this morning. It was horrible, I am not feeling too great about it. I had 75 questions: 20 SATA, 3 med calculations (two I know for sure I got wrong), a ton of priority, a ton of infection control, no delegation, and alot of meds (some that I had never heard of).

I was so shocked when the computer shut off at 75. Before I went to the test I kept praying that I would only have 75 but then when it shut off I felt like I did not have enough chance to prove myself.

I am not feeling good about it at all. I know I got a lot wrong because I looked them up afterwards (bad idea).

I am in CA, so I will have to wait awhile for it to post if I passed. I thought I would feel so relieved when it was over but I dont :(

When you are studying for the test you can't imagine being any more stressed out. Then comes the wait after the test...... :wtosts: It sounds like you did have the higher level questions with a lot of priority and infection control though. Don't worry too much about the ones you got wrong as the test is designed so that you get 50% wrong. I'd say to try and stay positive but being in the same shoes I know that it really isn't easy. :scrm:At least with this board we aren't all suffering this extreme stress alone. :icon_hug: The more time that goes by the more I am starting to get angry which isn't helping. How can our futures be determined by SATA?? :hlk:Anyway I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I will keep you in my thoughts. I am praying that we will all get good news and be able to put RN behind our names. :plsebeg:

Hey don't beat yourself up. Take some time to do something that will get your mind off of things and don't open that book for answers. I did that on my exam last year...not a good idea.

Enjoy your weekend, and just pat yourself that the exam is done, and just keep it movin. I am in Cali too. I test on tuesday.

It will take a while, but don't be surprised to see your name on the BON on sat or monday morning. :redpinkhe

EDnurse, your test sounds A LOT like mine. I took it yesterday and found out today that I passed! I know exactly how you feel even though I didn't have to wait that long. I can't imagine how stressful it must be. I'll keep fingers and toes crossed and say a prayer for you. Good luck!
