This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.
To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.
Thanks!
I just checked and found out that I passed! Like everyone else I was convinced I failed, I didn't know anything on that test. I feel like I guessed one very single question. I also had a ton of SATA, somewhere in the neighborhood of 20-30. I am so glad I passed!!
Hooray!!! Congratulations!!! :dancgrp:
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, tachycardia, diaphoresis...I just took the NCLEX exam this am. The exam shut off at 75 questions. I felt like I knew nothing. And now I'm sick to my stomach.
I know how hard this is too wait while you second guess yourself. Try to keep yourself busy doing other things. I will keep you in my thoughts!!! :heartbeat
CONGRATS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS PASSED!!!!!!
I took my boards on Thursday the 26th and found out this morning I PASSED!!!!! :yeah:Woo Hoo..... I finished the first tip and was going to complete Suzanne's plan but found out that I had to take my boards by a certain date or I couldn't continue in the critical care program I am in(would have been nice if I would have known that when I accepted the transfer in MAY).
I started at 8am and finished at 9:30 when the computer stopped at 75. I had 18 SATA, A LOT of infection control, medication orders, prioritization, ethical and legal, and management (you are the nurse manager teaching staff).
I used Saunder's (for content) and The Kaplan book from Border's bookstore (for test strategies) and I did about a 100 to 150 questions a day. I used the same two books when I took my LPN boards and the computer shut off at the minimum of 85. While I used the cd I just went through the review questions so I could see the rationals.
For those of you still waiting to test, my best advice is to try and keep your anxiety level down. You know the material so just keep practicing questions...
For those of you who tested and need to retake I wish you the best of luck, and remember you CAN pass this test. I will keep all of you in my prayers. Good luck...
Time for some margarita's !!!!!!!!!
:onbch: *wine
after two horrible days of thinking i failed i woke up this morning with a feeling of doom and dread and looked up my state board of nursing. i am there and have an active license number!!!!! i passed!!!!!!! i am shaking and am on the verge of tears still. i am in utter disbelief. good luck to those who are still waiting....we can all do this!!!!!
congrats amber07! i knew you could do it! i am so happy for you!
ugh, just received the ATT and scheduled the NCLEX-RN for early June. I've received 99% on the ATI predictor TWICE now but I am still about to :barf01: Even though I feel fairly confident and I'm a good test taker and am doing question upon question. Still with a job riding on it there is so much pressure! And now that it's scheduled it's very very real. How are all of you dealing with this anxiety? Anybody have a great tip??
I feel the exact same way!! I am scheduled to take the NCLEX PN on July 10th. I am in an LPN-RN bridge and have paid so much money already for tuition, etc and it's non refundable. If I flunk, I am kicked from the program. I'm sick over it!! I just wanna pass the test already!!
