This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.
To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.
Thanks!
Well the more I think about it the more I think that I failed miserably. The test just did not seem that hard which is not a good sign. Although I got 30 SATA (3-4 in a row most often) I think the content was much too easy. I just don't know what to do.
The first time I tested I got all 265 questions and was near passing in all areas. How do you go from near passing to failing miserably with a ton more study? :angryfire I have never studied and worked so hard for anything in my life. Not even through my nursing program. Saturday morning can't come fast enough and then I guess back to the books.
I tested today and I feel really great! I expected to leave crying, but I didn't think it was that bad, I felt I was well prepared. I had 75 questions, 27 SATA (yes, I actually made little ticks on my board to count them!) and 2 math (one was a difficult, tricky one, and I have a Master's in math, I think some math problems may not be lower level). I will find out on Saturday! Good luck and congrats to everyone else!
Good luck!!!! I hope you get positive results and can put RN behind your name on Saturday.
I took it this am, for five hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got all of those darn questions. I don't know how i did, i feel like i got some right, and some wrong, got a lot of priority quesitons, like 20 SATA, a few med calcs, like 10 med questions, lots of hard ones, a few easy ones. I'm just trying not to freak out because it's already been done, no going back now, either I did and hooray, or I didn't and I will keep trying. I just don't want to go to work and tell everyone, sorry, gonna have to keep working as a secretary even though I wanna get my hands in some real work. Oh well, I hear it don't matter if you got 75 or 265 many people pass either way, lets hope I one of them! oh the heart pumping anticipation!:redbeathe

I only had 83 questions and I am freaking out, just the same as you are. So that tells me that there is just as likely a chance that we both passed as failed, so good luck to both of us! I would actually feel much better if I did have 200 questions. Anyway, best of luck to you!
thanks for the kind words it helps REGINA13..i feel so down earlier im lucky that my fiance try his best to console me..by the way how much time you give yourself before taking the exam again. GOD BLESS
I gave myself a month to relax and comfort myself then I enrolled myself in a review for 2 months, then self-reviewed for a month. A total of 4 months. But it would really depend on your pace. I heard of some who took it after a month. Just stay positive! Goodluck! God bless

I also ended up answering all 265 questions and only had a few SATA, maybe less than 20 and then a few calculations. Lots of meds also and then prioritization. I passed!!! Good luck, hope you pass.
Congrats to everyone who has passed!
I took my nclex on Wed 25th in Virginia. I felt sick when the computer shut off at 75, it was like I was punched in the stomach. I had a ton of SATA (20-30) sometimes 3 or 4 in a row, 1 drug dosage, 4 or 5 pham, and the rest were basically a combo of delegation, priority (who would you see first), infection control and education (evaluation of and what would you include in). I can honestly say there is not 1 question that I am sure I answered correctly. Two of my classmates called and found out they had passed the morning after the test. I called all day yesturday and it just keeps giving the same message (this # does not hold a license....). I guess that means I failed. I keep praying for a miracle, you know for some reason mine is just taking longer to post or something. I spent all day crying until I was sick yesturday. I just can't believe that I failed. I graduated with honors, my lowest test grade was a 78 my last semester which was on the endocrine system (guess what I had a ton of questions on:banghead:. I took the ATI comp predictor and had a 99% chance of passing on the first try, I have taken numerous online quizes and passed them all, I even took an online review (Delmar) and took tons of quizes with that all of which I passed with no problem. I am so completely humiliated. My school has had a 100% pass rate for 2 years and even the student who barely passed the program and almost failed clinicals passed boards. How stupid can I be. Has anyone heard of it taking longer than 24 hours in Va to get results? I am still praying for a miracle!
