This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.
To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.
Thanks!
Just go in there positive, remember that 15 questions don't even count, and you don't have to get them all correct in order to pass.
There will be some you don't know what to answer, but try not to dwell on that. Take each question as a new opportunity to prove yourself.
Whether it shuts off at 75, 265, or in between, #'s do not matter. SATAs are a good thing, it seems, but I'm sure there are other high level questions as well.
Just do the best you can, and that's all you can do. :) Hope to get good news from you soon!!
:imbarI test tomorrow 6/26 and am a little nervous. I'm trying not to get too anxious as I'm sure that will happen tomorrow right about 8am. Any last minute suggestions for relaxation during the test? I've studied for about three weeks now and know I haven't covered everything, but how could I when we barely went over most everything these last two years? Anyhow, I will let you know how it goes, pray for me :)
Hello!
I want to introduce myself. I have been reading this thread for awhile now and wanted to join in. I originally logged in as a student, but life as a student has not allowed me any time to post. I graduated last month and just changed my user name today.
I want to congratulate everyone for their hard work, passing NURSING SCHOOL and now NCLEX.
This support group has helped me and I want to thank you for your input. I take NCLEX July 3 so I felt I was close enough to June to read these posts.
I have studied for about three weeks: Kaplan, Saunders, NCLEX 3500 and recently Exam Cram. I feel like I am going overboard but yet don't feel prepared. I realize everyone here understands and is very supportive.
Finally, does anyone read any inspirational quotes or books or have a favorite website they can recommend I read for positive affirmations? I really believe that is half of passing NCLEX.....believe in what you know and just relax!

Hey there,
So my big thing to help me relax a little was taking a huge piece of paper and writing my first and last name followed by RN. It helped so much. Today was my first day of work as an RN and it was pretty intense. You can do this!
Thanks everyone :tku: , This thread helped a lot of people and i'm one of them. I'm just glad there are lots of people out there like you guys who are willing to support people like me online...like this. All i'm trying to say is, you guys are a part of my success. *group hug* :hpygrp::clpty:

P.S. sorry to those who find too much smilies annoying
i took my exam last june 23 but i found out today i failed..but im happy to see that many people here passed, Congratulations..
i hope to pass on my 2nd try. GOD BLESS !!!
I'm sorry to hear that soon2bRN&wife. I failed the first time too. And that experience helped me a lot to study harder so it won't happen again. And I'd like say what my boyfriend always tells me when I feel down about not passing, "Maybe the shoe still doesn't fit but it would if you would just give your foot a chance to go up one more size"
But then, I know you already know that :)
i took my nclex today and it cut off @ 75 questions. i had one calculation and 20+ sata..i am so worried. i am horrible with sata and they just kept giving them to me. i hope that i pass. i can find out in 2 days but the waiting is driving me crazy.
..
i think you did well, i dont get any sata, no calculation then i found today i fail, i think having many sata is a good sign.. good luck but i feel like you will pass..god bless!

Good luck!! I'll be testing tomorrow morning as well. Hopefully it will be a good day for us both!!
I am taking a lunchable and granola bar and making sure to take the scheduled breaks to clear my head and relax before answering more questions. I also plan on closing my eyes and envisioning RN if I become way stressed out. Now to try and get a good nights sleep. Best of luck in the morning!
