June 2008 NCLEX support group

Published

This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.

To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.

Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear that soon2bRN&wife. I failed the first time too. And that experience helped me a lot to study harder so it won't happen again. And I'd like say what my boyfriend always tells me when I feel down about not passing, "Maybe the shoe still doesn't fit but it would if you would just give your foot a chance to go up one more size"

But then, I know you already know that :)

thanks for the kind words it helps REGINA13..i feel so down earlier im lucky that my fiance try his best to console me..by the way how much time you give yourself before taking the exam again. GOD BLESS

CONGRATULATIONS !!!:yeah::clown: im happy for you!

its time to celebrate!!!

but im happy to see that many people here passed, Congratulations..

i hope to pass on my 2nd try. GOD BLESS !!!

I am sorry to hear this. I also did not pass my first time and know how discouraging it can be. Take a couple of days off to recharge yourself and then start anew. Come up with a schedule and try your best to stick to it. Good luck!!!

Good luck today Amber07. Remember to relax, you are going to do great!

Thanks for the well wishes! I just got back from my test and I am not sure what to think. The last time I took it I totally stressed out and barely made it to the car before I broke down crying. This time I am not so worked up which also worries me and makes me think that I am more calm because maybe my questions were to easy.

My computer shut off at 75 questions and about 1 hr 45 minutes. I didn't even make it to a scheduled break which I was ready for with snacks waiting in my locker. My test consisted of 30 SATA, 1 easy math, 1 question where you had to put things in order which was regarding medication which I thought was easy, and then infection control, the types of things you would expect to see with a disease, the things that would most concern you with a disease, and a few priority. I am worried that I didn't get more priority. I only got one question regarding delegation and under five with who would you see first. I am really worried that my future status as an RN rests in the hands of a test that was more than a third SATA.....I am never good at those. I was not as nervous testing this time around and the questions didn't totally bewilder me...which again has me freaked out and thinking they were too easy and I bombed the test. I also got about three questions that were very similar...one SATA that was then the topic of another SATA with slightly different answeres, one question that a few questions later became a SATA. I am praying with all my heart that I passed this time but am not so confident. The next 48 hours can't go fast enough. :banghead::(:sniff::o

I am wishing you the best Amber 07. Maybe you are not as nervous because you are more prepared than you were before.

I am re-taking my exam on tuesday july 1st, and I am growing nervous as well. But this time around, I have at least 2,000 questions under my belt. So, when I go in, I won't feel insecure on the content.

Alot of SATA's are good signs....good luck to you!!!

I have failed before, too. It will be okay, just re-group and hit the books again. Review like you are starting over. That way you have everything covered!

Good luck on your review....;)
