Hi everyone! As the early and regular decision deadlines for the Hopkins accelerated programs approach, I thought I would start a new thread for this year. It seems like it's been a pretty useful source of support for prior applicants during this grueling process :)
I wouldn't give up hope yet if you haven't gotten a call for an interview. I applied early decision but I didn't receive an email about an interview until 10 days before the decisions for ED were supposed to be released. Had my interview like 5 days before and got a call 5 days later that I was in. It also varies based on MSN specialty I hear. I applied for the PHN/CNM track and because they had to collaborate with Shenandoah it took longer to contact me about an interview.

ejohnson brings up an excellent point. Please don't get stressed about the timelines and comparing with other applicants. Having worked in the admissions office at JHUSON I can tell you first hand how lengthy of a process this is. She is 100% correct that it is also dependent on which MSN specialty you applied for, some specialties work faster than others in the interview process. Also they have had 4 snow closures since January and let me tell you this impacts the process greatly. Having been a student that has gone through this whole process I know how stressful it can be but please don't drive yourself crazy!!! Last year we had people interviewing well into March.
Hi all,
How do you feel about the skype interview versus an in-person? Due to inclement weather and the last minute interview request, I chose to do a skype interview. I am now regretting the decision because it would be nice to visit the school, and of course, physically be there to show my interest.
They totally understand that! Trust me opting for a phone/ skype interview does not reflect any differently than and in person interview. Don;t regret your decision!!! Yes, I agree it is nice to see the school but if it helps the first time I saw the school was AFTER I paid my deposit and was able to drive down for an accepted students event.
For those still wondering about interviews, I can assure you that it is not yet too late in the process - I just received an email to schedule my BS-MSN interview on Friday, and I will be doing a phone interview tomorrow. I applied for the summer entry, FNP specialty. I submitted my application by the Dec. 1st deadline.

Susifen, how did they contact you for an interview? By phone or e-mail?
