  1. https://www.admissions.upenn.edu/decisions/mydecision.php
  2. FAQ's say early February. Last year an email was sent on the 8th notifying applicants to log on to receive the decisions on the 12th, so I would imagine we'll be notified the week before decisions again this year. So probably in 2-3 weeks.
  3. Okay. Since you can't PM yet, feel free to just shoot me an email ([email protected])
  4. Hey k_pro. I'm interviewing on Monday also. I'm feeling a little under the weather tonight, but if I'm feeling better tomorrow, I'd love to grab dinner. Where in the city are you staying?
  5. Yikes. Waiting 3 extra weeks to hear would not be fun. Have you talked to the admissions office to ask them whether they call internationally?
  6. Not yet :) Time feels like it's creeping by! I'm trying to focus on prepping for my Penn interview on Monday, but it's definitely distracting knowing that the JHU admissions decision is so close! I assume you're anxiously waiting too?
  7. I received the financial aid email also, but nothing about interviews yet. Based on the timing last year, there doesn't appear to be a rhyme or reason to the timing of interviews. Jessie, that's a great idea. Perhaps it will make the 3 weeks go by a little faster! I'm 32. My BS and MS are in criminal justice and criminology fields respectively. I am an attorney currently and I live in Philadelphia. Are you applying ABSN only or for a particular specialty? Happy thanksgiving to you too! And happy hanukkah for anyone celebrating tonight.
  8. I'm in the same boat. Haven't heard yet, but nervous and excited for when we do! :)
  9. Fishe23a -- I've had the same problem reaching both ------- and the admissions office. I've called and emailed and never heard back. The only time I've ever reached a person at the admissions office was when I was transferred by another person within the Penn system (I don't know if that's a coincidence or if they picked up because it looked like an internal call). And even though I finally got a live person at the admissions office, she said she would contact someone about my question and have them call me back, which didn't happen. I can only assume that they're incredibly busy, but it's still frustrating.
  10. I'm a little surprised too, but last year's thread wasn't even started until December. You're probably right that others will find this thread later since last year's thread was pretty active starting in December.
  11. Cookiedotes -- it's not rolling admission, but for early decision people, applications were due November 1st and decisions are made by December 15th Marie -- thanks for the encouraging words :) Are you early or regular decision? Fall or summer start?
  12. Have other people already been scheduled for interviews? It seems that the interview time periods were pretty varied in years past. One of my colleges lost my transcript request and it won't be there until this week, so I'm a little nervous about whether they will allow me to interview in time for early decision.
  13. mewei -- there is a lot to do, see, and eat here so it really depends on what kind of stuff you like! it would probably be easiest to chat about this using a pm, but i have not yet earned my right to do that :) feel free to shoot me an email if you'd like. my email address is [email protected]. public transportation is okay, but not fantastic when compared to other major cities. it's a very walkable city though especially in the penn area and from center city to penn. also, if you're somewhere near the two subway lines, then it's really easy... as for the weather, it's kinda hard to predict in november and december. sometimes it feels like a beautiful fall day and other times it's snowing. like today, it was high in the upper 60's and sunny and earlier this week it dropped down to the 20's and was really windy. usually, it's not too bad early in december, but i would recommend looking at the weather a week or few days before to see which of the weather versions we get. and if it's cold, bundle up! i'm a hat, gloves, scarf kind of person myself, despite living in the northeast my whole life. newmy123 -- there are a few nice hotels near penn, but it really depends on your budget. the hotels near penn are often used by visiting parents, penn alums, etc so they're not exactly student budget hotels. feel free to email me if you know what your budget is or have some places in mind and i can tell you how the neighborhood is and whether you'll have any difficulty getting to penn from there.
  14. I will be attending the in-person interview because I live in Philadelphia. I think without a compelling reason, I would look pretty lazy to not travel the 10 minutes across town :) Let me know if you guys end up coming though. And if anyone has Philadelphia questions, I'm happy to answer them. I also went to Penn for my Masters, so I can answer questions about the campus generally, but not the school of nursing.
  15. Got an interview invite for FNP! Not sure if they come in one wave or throughout the day. Good luck everyone!
