Things seem to be unfolding rather quickly. Former White House aides and advisors are scrambling to cover themselves as they receive subpoenas to appear and produce documents.
It’s rare when lawyers — as opposed to their clients — take the Fifth Amendment. But Jeffrey Clark, the former Justice Department lawyer who reportedly tried to help Donald Trump overturn the 2020 presidential election, is now claiming the privilege against self-incrimination to avoid testifying before the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. He has just been joined in that posture by one of Trump’s main outside legal advisers, John Eastman.
The lawsuit comes after the committee signaled it would pursue a criminal contempt referral against Meadows because of his refusal to sit for a deposition in the investigation into the Capitol riot. Meadows alleges that the subpoenas are "overly broad and unduly burdensome," while claiming that the committee "lacks lawful authority to seek and to obtain" the information requested.
And apparently Mark Meadows had a power point outlining how to overturn election results.
The 38-page presentation, entitled "Election Fraud, Foreign Interference & Options for 6 Jan," is dated one day before the Capitol riot. It's believed to have been submitted by Meadows after he was subpoenaed by the panel in connection with the insurrection.

Well how else would you react when you genuinely believe an election was stolen from you and all evidence points to it being likely? I mean, we all went to bed that night with Trump well in the lead, and then when we woke up...those five swing states that stopped counting in the middle of the night (that Trump was leading in) just miraculously, suddenly had tons and tons of votes for Biden at a 90/10 advantage just enough to let him win? Keep in mind Trump won 19/20 historic bell-weather counties and STILL lost, somehow.
I'm not a die hard Trump supporter. I see his many flaws as well as his attributes. I hated him at first then I did my own research and the misinformation spouted by the biggest "misinformation executives " started long before that was even a buzz word. And no I wasn't "brain washed" or fell for "far right propaganda" either. Or get my info from "social media" or become a victim to my "feelings and emotions". I reviewed several different information sources and made my own opinions. Most of which was formulated from how information was presented rather than the actual information in some instances. I put it all together and here I am. A Republican supporting a political party that has been likened to domestic terrorist or something. Not to mention a racist because of my skin color or not a racist because of the color of my skin. Depends. The list of ridiculous ad hominem goes on and on.
None the less, I believe there were irregularities and exploitation of the changes to voting methods to accommodate covid restrictions.COVID was also exploited to hurt Trump at the voting polls. There was definitely strange happenings at polling stations. Is this "massive voter fraud? No. Was this "the most secure election in US history? LOL No.
Was it a reason to protest, yes, everyone has that right. Was it just to riot? No, absolutely not.
Trump should have handled it better and been more forthcoming in telling the rioters to stop. However I think he was caught off guard like many Americans. The violence happening that entire year was not being perpetrated by "right wing activist "and up until then, there was very little violence coming from the right. So nobody including the capital was expecting this to happen. Or perhaps they were? We will never get answers to that from this committee.
Trump did not handle this properly.
This is my opinion and until there is some sort of charges brought against Trump(I know this isn't the purpose of the committee) I will never fully believe in this bias committee with all their edited videos and selective "evidence". That is my opinion, this is my speech, and as an American, I'm entitled to both.

In PA, mail-in ballots can not be opened until election day and scanned into voting systems --compared to other states that count ballots upon arrival but hold vote total releasing on General election day. Therefore, PA will take a week or more post elections to release totals --especially since rural counties start to count paper ballots next day AFTER elections; overseas ballots from serviceman by law can arrive 10 days post voting and still be counted. This is something PA legislature should change: count vote upon arrival date but won't since under Republican control.
With rising COVID deaths, many states issued far more mail-in ballot requests 2020 than any previous year. PA voters approved no-excuse-needed ballot requests in 2018, legislature enacted law approved in 2019 --deluged with requests in 2020. NJ sent all residents paper ballot.
Democrats > Republicans across the US have used paper ballots. President Trump's comments: "There's fraud, and ballots get dumped in rivers and creeks" didn't help Republicans choose this voting method while Democrats encouraged it to minimize those afraid to vote in person due to fear catching Covid; therefore returns would favor Democrats in late night paper ballot counting.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Richard Lloret initially granted Mr. Rehl bail at $50,000, and subsequently granted a stay to allow the government to appeal. I am unable to find a source but believe he subsequently denied Mr. Rehl’s bail.
Mr. Kelly, who will apparently preside over the case, revoked bail for Mr. Biggs and Mr. Nordean deny bail for Mr. Rehl and continues to deny their bail requests.
No, although close that's not quite correct either. It is a bit convoluted, however. And, there is no source that says Kelly has ever denied him bail.
Originally, I asked for a source from another poster who made a claim. And, in doing so twice, I twice politely said that their claim was not what I understood to be true. They then twice gave me snarky responses, but still have yet to provide a source for the claim I questioned.

I said it was my opinion that I concluded from various types of information. This was a primary point in my post. I do not have a list of everything I've ever read or heard or saw.
Mostly I think the democrats inflated everything and anything they could will covid. And guess what? Either political party would have used it to advance their votes. This is not a new phenomenon in politics. Looks like it worked! .
