No doubt more analyses will be added to this one.
Russia wants to be seen as a mediator but it becoming clear whose side he's' on. Naturally it's finding common ground with the US.
QuoteSpeaking to an Iraqi prime minister two days after the massacre, Putin blamed the crisis on the United States and its failed Middle East policy, claiming that the US sought to "monopolize" the resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict while failing to account for the "fundamental interests of the Palestinian people”—namely, their desire for an independent Palestinian state with the capital in East Jerusalem.
A few days later Putin equated the Israeli response—the siege of Gaza in an attempt to force Hamas to return the hostages—with the actions of the Nazis during the Leningrad blockade. Israel, of course, has a right to defend itself, he said, but it's important to end the bloodshed, stop the fighting, and find "the right solution." Such a solution "could be reached with the help of mediation,” he hinted thickly, reminding the audience that Russia has decades of experience in the region. At neither of these two public opportunities did Putin condemn Hamas.

They have found some common ground with China though.
QuoteIn a broadly similar response, the two leaders have condemned attacks on civilians, urged a cease-fire and offered to mediate, while failing to explicitly condemn Hamas.

Why would we expect anything better than the Russian and Chinese allegiance to Hamas? Hamas is the enemy of their enemy. The bad guys of the Middle East buy weapons from Russia and they want to keep their customers happy.
Political strongmen use chaos to advance their goals. Chaos is their opportunity to remind everyone that THEY are the answer. Putin is thrilled to have violence and chaos across the globe.
It looks like two Israeli hostages have been released now.

Apparently, many Democrat voters agree with you.
"Genocide Joe needs to halt his actions immediately and realize that he's going to face massive opposition from Democrat voters next election," one protester told Fox News at the demonstration."
As I've pointed out already, Democrats moreso than Republicans have supported Palestine over Israel. I've seen this in polls from years ago. It is interesting that Fox calls them "far left protests" when I think it's also some mainstream liberals as well, but that's only an opinion. I guess in their eyes being pro-Palestine is a far left idea.
Like I've said before Fox News can't show any support for Biden, since his pro-Israel stance is aligned with Republicans, so best to report the chants of Genocide Joe and paint him in as negative a light as possible, since they are campaigning against his re-election. But that's only an opinion.
I can't blame them, "Genocide Joe" is too juicy of a story.
I do think that Biden facing "massive opposition from Democrat voters next election" isn't something on Biden's mind, although surely he knows people are not approving. Did the protester say who he was going to vote for instead?
It does put Biden on a tight rope with those of us pressuring him to support Palestine over Israel and his pro-Israel stance.
I've defended Trump against name calling, so naturally I'm not going to say I like the term "genocide Joe". But I get it, we are financing Israel and Biden is not insisting on a cease fire.

I agree with you that the protests aren't necessarily far left. It's not an extremist position to feel compassion for innocents in harms way in a fresh war. There are lots of Palestinians living in the US. They influence people here. I'm not sure that many are pressuring support of Palestine OVER Israel.
Fox News cannot be taken seriously at this point in time. They clearly continue to publish a narrative rather than just the news.
Polls a year from an election are simply not predictive of results or outcome.

It's not just Palestinians or a left wing fringe. It includes some of us mainstream democrats.
Biden's numbers are at a new low and he should be concerned even though the election is a year away, but that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't going to stand his ground for the short term. (Even Trump is favoring this approach while saying it never should have started in the first place, he things it should play out, without much concern for a cease far, again showing my support that Biden is aligned with Republicans)

Maybe it will play out that another candidate that wants a cease fire and is more pro-Palestine will emerge, but while it puts Trump ahead, I'm not sure pro-Palestinian Democrats are going to go en mass away from Biden.
QuotePresident Joe Biden's approval rating has declined to the lowest level of his presidency — 40% — as strong majorities of all voters disapprove of his handling of foreign policy and the Israel-Hamas war, according to the latest national NBC News poll.

I'm surmising that only the far-left would use such a horrible nickname, and it's been members of the squad who have been the loudest critics of Biden. Maybe that's why "far-left" was used as a descriptor.

Of course polling this far away isn't indicative of the final outcome.
However, polls are consistently low. And, he's lost ground in certain demographics that democrats rely on.
While the WH shrugs them off publicly, these polls are worrisome to many Democrats. Some of them are speaking out.

Trump also leaked valuable information to the Taliban when in November of 2020, he advised the enemy of when our soldiers would be pulling out of Afghanistan which made it possible for them to make a grab for our military hardware. I think it makes Trump feel more important to "leak" strategic and highly sensitive plans to our enemies, including China who outfoxed his sledgehammer approach.
