Is someone justified in harassing someone to tell them if they got vaccinated or not?

Say you got vaccinated and choose not to stand in the middle of the street to tell the world. Yet friend or coworker keeps nagging you to tell them if you did or not

Not really deep....it only asks how I feel. There is no substance in the remarks. They are void of depth and rather shallow for professional, patriotic, community, or national discourse.

The person who is hesitant to tell you may be fully vaccinated, while the one who says "yep, I am" may be lying to you. You will never know. The unvaccinated liar will get invited to the party, while I guess the vaccinated one who won't tell you won't

That is deep. so deep like Grand Canyon deep. Did that require a shovel?

You must have trouble discerning truth tellers from liars.  I don't, so much.  That makes me a rather successful poker player...I understand the math and odds, I don't make emotional decisions and I can often tell when people are lying.  It also means that I'm not easily fooled by liars who are selling suspicion and concern during a national crisis.

Umm, that is an emotional decision too. Unless you're Data, you are making a emotional decision. An intentional absence of emotions is an emotional decision

I know that 99 cent store will fill up your purchased balloons with air for you. I've never bought any, but I know they do. Just saying.

Excellent point. People aren't as omnipotent as they think. There are many folks who can lie with a straight face and no flinching.

Yes.  I expect those who have no problem with lying to lie. There are tens of millions of those people today...

Currently, people who are reluctant to vaccinate are overly influenced by liars but they won't believe it when told or provided evidence.  In 2020 the entire USA was disadvantaged by a habitual liar with a really big megaphone. It's ironic that you are talking about liars while under the influence of liars.

I don't personally want to deal with or be around the (((cough))) Why are your worried? Aren't you fully vaccinated? (((Sneeze..snot...Sneeze))) people

I don’t really know any people like that. I’m guessing you do since you posted this? Are they friends/family, coworkers or patients? Either way, it sounds like some public health education might be in order. Don’t you guys inform people about how the Covid vaccines work?

Again, are you speaking from experience? Personally I only invite friends or family to parties and no one would dream of lying to people they care about. And no one would come to a party all cough, cough, sneeze, sneeze either. Not even pre-Covid. I don’t invite random people off the street to my parties, I’m assuming you don’t either? So what kind of metaphorical party are we talking about here?

I guess I’m trying to figure out what prompted you to write this post in the first place ?

Your patients must be nicer than ours. ?

We educate out the wazoo but don't forget we are Americans who celebrate rugged individualism and following our own paths because everyone else be damned and who the heck cares about public health. ?

You have no idea what I believe or its source. It does prove my point so thank you.

You don't think you've expressed your beliefs clearly enough in these threads for us to all understand?

Well OK then...

I suspect they might be. It certainly helps that Covid vaccines haven’t been politicized the way they have in the U.S. There’s really no reason to lie about having gotten the vaccine, or not.

I think I want to move to Sweden.
