I was hoping that some one might be able to talk to me and help me figure out what is going on with my nursing

Syncope maybe? Anyone ever died while posting here?
sorry, I guess I was not sure of how to ask for the help. until that DON wrote I was feeling down and felt I was being dumped on. I was working in that type of place and it seemed like everyone was doing that to me. I worked pm's and the day nurse kept putting the meds onto eves. I was threatened by an aid, they were just down right refusing to do anything it goes on and on. There is a lot more I just haven;t been able to identify everything yet.

We'd be happy to help if we can figure out what you need help with. I'm afraid I'm still a little fuzzy on this. Or I'm just having a really fuzzy-headed day (which won't be good, since I hafta work tonight).

Did the DON say your depressed or appear depressed? Did she make some type of action plan to find out who to help you?
I am not sure how long you have been a nurse? I am not saying that to pick on anyone or anything of that nature, but I am trying to find out the stage of your development as a nurse as we all seem to progress through stages. I agree with a previous poster... more information will allow us to help you guide your path.

That would go for the actual message as well.
We can't help you if you don't tell us what concerns you about you. (What your DON wrote will only make sense to us if you tell us what led up to him/her writing it.)
Do you think you are feeling down? What is your position--RN, LPN, CNA? What are you doing at work and how do you feel about yourself in your position there?
Are you making errors?
Are you having difficulty with comprehending or retaining information which is given to you?
Are you "drowning your sorrows?"
Did what the zenman wrote make you smile? (If not, you might see someone for depression--that was a rip! :rotfl: )

Hon, there is a reason why it says, in red letters, don't just put something like "help," put something substantive in the title of the thread. That would go for the actual message as well. We can't help you if you don't tell us what concerns you about you. (What your DON wrote will only make sense to us if you tell us what led up to him/her writing it.) How can we help you, pal? Give us more info...the more detail, the better.
We can only assist with what you give us.
We're here, pal.

I'm an RN was working in an impossible LTC facility, the DON would make up policies as she went along or so it seemed, any way I looked for the pokicy book when I first statred there and the only one I found was from the late 70's. I have been in LTC for almost 24 years but not in this state. anything I did she would pull me into the office and say "that's not our policy" or "this state doesn't do that" she even told me that ignorance is no excuse. she gave me a fairly good yearly eval but then the real stuff started. I was treated as an aid and even told that I was just an aid. It was a constant put down from the aides through out management. It was like living in a bad movie. the problem now is how do I fight this so that I can continue my nursing or am I just dummed because of this. I don't know if I have just picked a few bad places or if some one is actually following me around and pushing me out of jobs. there has been so much crazy stuff going on that I am afraid to even start another job.
