So... the front desk receptionist just unlocked my locked door (with the sign up that says Nurse Office Closed), and brought a student in... while I was pumping (breast pump) at my desk.
The best part... what was the emergency? The kid needed a snack.
During lunch break.
I want to die. I'm just praying he didn't see too much.

Please tell me this receptionist has learned her lesson and was apologetic!
The student was a 10th grader. SMH. I want to go home.

Gotta love it. People walk in and out of my office all day long. They open the door, see me in the office and say "I'm sorry" and proceed to walk through my office. All.Day.Every.Day. I couldn't imagine if I had to pump. I don't have a lock on either door. I can't believe she unlocked the door!

She was so apologetic. I KNEW this day would come... but I really didn't expect her to bring a student in with her. I'm kinda pissed because now they are probably gonna make me pump in the "mom's room." which is super far away and not big enough for all of us (there are 5 of us nursing moms right now)

I am shocked you can't lock your door. I don't leave my office without locking it. I have secure info in there as I am sure you do as well. And, yes, my file cabinets are generally locked, but i often have a file i'm working on sitting on my desk. Also - what about lockdowns?

You bring up very good questions. It's something I need to talk to administration about. My office is in the center of the main office, but I really do feel as if both doors should lock.

Yikes! Now she knows what "Nurse's office closed" means. Maybe time to do the ol' jam a chair against the door?

Again....not much to add but:
FFS.
Also hang in there.
Before I was a nurse, when I was nursing I was at a state department of health. I put up a sheet over my cubicle door (that was in the days before lactation rooms). One of my colleagues, a giant 6 foot-five cheerful gay man, peeked over the cubicle and went AIIIIEEEE.
I have never seen one human so red.
