Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and hopefully I'm posting this in the right area. I'm currently an LVN in Ca and looking into a 1 year LVN-RN on-line program based out of Fl. The name of the school is called International College of Health Sciences based out of Boyton Beach, Fl. I was just wondering if anyone here has had some experiences in dealing with this school, currently attending, or could provide any insight into the program. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
I am so much interested in ICPHS for RN then to BSN program however, I will like to go for further studies as a mental health Nurse. Has anyone transferred their BSN credit for Masters in nursing to another school or will it be accepted in other schools? if yes which school is it. thanks

I only went to FL once due to Covid. My friend got lucky she only went to FL once and got her RN license, due to covid our school offered an accelerated deal program last semester and if you pass you will skip the med surg 2 and can challenge the exit exam. She passed and also passed her NCLEX-RN. I am so happy for her. She is now a licensed RN here in California.
Hey @Sushigurl
Have you completed this course ? Can you give us an insight on how clinicals are being done ?

Few of them are graduating this year. International College of Health Sciences is perfect in my schedule I can study while working. And for clinical you have to fly to Florida once in every semester but you have to stay there for 14days x 12hrs to complete clinical in every semester. So you may be flying 4x to complete the program. They are accredited in BON Florida ACEN and ACCN Accredited. I am not worried about getting a endorsement from BON of Florida going to California as long as I am holding a license of RN that all matters. NURSING School in California are notoriously expensive. So, I think it is wise to go out of state which is still govern under the state and school is accredited that's more important.
are already graduate in this school and transfer your license here in CA? thanks
I finally finished my program and preparing for NCLEX. My classmates are already passing their NCLEX, they said the endorsement of their license to CA is pretty easy and quick after passing the NCLEX-RN. I was kinda late cause due to COVID-19 I refused to fly to FL to take my HESI Exit exam. Goodluck to all of you who are enrolled in this program. My advice is just to keep your mouth shut and go to work (Study). You can do it, guys! GoodLuck!

Thank you so much for your insight! I will definitely still be attending regardless of what people say. I’ve done my research and this program is what works for my family, future and schedule. Good luck to you @Sushigurl I wish you nothing but the very best. Once again, thank you for putting our minds at ease and proving that it is possible! ❤️ Take care, good luck on your NCLEX RN! Please keep us posted.

When did you finish your online courses compared to when you finished your clinicals? Several students have said they waited a year for clinicals and still they do not have enough for all students who finished a while ago. How many times did you have to fly to Florida for clinicals? How many days of clinicals were you able to do in one trip? I also was told they have raised their required pass rate for the exit exam.
Please let us know if the CA BRN endorses you to take the NCLEX. Or are you taking it in Florida? Honestly not sure if CA will be accepting this program for the younger cohorts.
I have heard from several students that they finished courses a year ago and still have zero clinical options.
The passing rate for HESI exit is 850 preferred score is 900 that's the HESI standard and the school use that. If you get 850 you will pass. There are two kinds of students, those who like to complain because they didn’t pass and those who just go with the flow and work. Me? I'm just thankful and sharing with you my experienced. About the clinical, I don't know why they are complaining about it, we are in pandemic situation people. Schools in CA are canceling three semesters and we still moving. Many of my LVN classmates were able to get experiential credit from their work. I don’t know how long that will last but yeah due to the pandemic the previous capstone and the current capstone collided but it slowly works out. I was able to finish my 10 days clinical in June and pass my exit first try. I'm finished. I'm just waiting for my ATT authorized to test for NCLEX RN.
