Indiana State University BSN Thread for Current Students

Published

moderator note: this is a continuation of a previous thread that was very long and split by member request. this thread is primarily for current student discussion. there is another thread of faq: https://allnurses.com/distance-learning-nursing/isu-faq-thread-365878.html

we had to take micro, stats, math, biology, couple of humanities, etc, etc. maybe she meant that's just the one specific to nursing, as in in addition to the rest of the gen eds? anyway, good luck on both your applications!

If I decide to test out of chemistry will i still have to show that i took a science with a lab......or can take chemistry through excelsior and get credit that way???

The only way to get out of taking Chemistry with a lab is to do the CLEP. ISU will accept the CHEM CLEP.

Thanks a million

I am taking N328 and N330 challenge exams next week! Can anyone give me any study tips? Chaxanmom already said growth and development is on the test, any other help is much appreciated. I have only been studying for about 2 weeks and not sure if I am ready but registration starts in a week and I need to finish the tests before I can register for spring. Thanks

I was going to suggest not taking two tests in one week but I understand what you are saying about the registration deadline. Good luck!

I know that the Peds test was the most difficult for me altho I am taking the OB one this Monday as well as the TEAS. I give myself about a month for each one but I work full-time. My advice is study as much as u can. I have applied and sent my admission portfolio in so I hope we will be in "classes" together. Anyone else out there applying for Spring '10?

That would be me -- I am taking 330 and 328 on Tuesday. Need your prayers, positive energy, good thoughts, blah blah blah -- anything positive that you can send telepathically, send it.

Hey everyone, I was wondering if any of you could recommend where you found places/people to give your exams. I thought I could find a proctor at a public library, but no go. I live the in San Fernando Valley in los angeles, are there any other gals out there that could recommend a place? I've been calling community colleges, librarys... not sure where to go next. Thanks! :D

I checked the CLEP/Dantes exam center list, and called to ask if the center could proctor a non-CLEP/Dantes exam. I live in Riverside and La Sierra University is a testing center for both types of exams. If there is a University of Phoenix campus nearby they may proctor for a fee also. Hope this helps you. Good luck! :D

try sylvan....i didn't know until recently but they do proctor...i was having the same problem of finding a proctor then i couldn't schedule a time or date due to work and their hours of operation....good luck
