Thank you for listing this so clearly.

Yes ISU will accept test outs through EC. All the science pre-rec's can be done via EC I believe chemistry is another one.

Yeah...what she said. lol!

Chax,

How did your Public Speaking credit thru ISU turn out? Will they accept it?

I am still trying to decide if I should attempt the speech or take the class.

I still haven't retaken it. lol! I'm procrastinating. Ran into some $$$ issues and had to delay a few testouts so I'm saving that little gem for last. It's probably not a huge deal, just know that they are super duper picky about the time so bring a stopwatch. :)

Hello all. My name is Pete, and I am starting classes next month. I have a copy of csm for Nurs 106 I was able to buy from a newly graduated student. I also have the book that is reccomended for the course. I got a 94% I think.

I am preparing for the Nurs 224 exam. Has anyone taken this?????

help please!

Thanks.-Pete:D

I just took and passed 224. It wasn't too difficult but the study guide is a huge help. I was lucky enough to find someone locally who let me borrow theirs and it made all the difference in knowing the material that was on the test. I have two more test outs, 5 more nursing courses and my foreign language and I am done:-) I can't wait, this program has taken longer than I had expected and I am ready to take a break from studying.

are any of you attending Indiana RN's? Also where is there campus located? I live in Northern Kentucky? One more question: what does TCN stand for? This is a great forum and I am getting a lot of information, thank you all. I have been putting off going on for my BSN since, well I graduated college with ADN in 1982, so it has been a long time, lol! Thanks

Debbie

TNC = The College Network, a publishing company that prints literature for students so they can challange classes for credit and get an AA/AS degree. As you already have a lower division degree, all you need to do is contact ISU and enter their programs, no middle man.

I hope this helps:D

Of course ISU may require you to have courses you might not have taken. Some people have been purchasing TCN books on eBay and then testing for the classes they need without signing the rather expensive TCN contract.

Just checking in to see how all of the ISU and pre-ISU students are doing? How are the studies going with the prerequisites? How much further have you gotten in the program? I check this forum often for inspiration/motivation. :)

Hi everyone,

I'm finally at the end of a struggle, college algebra, it has taken me 2 months to study for this one. The last class i had was regular math in high school 30 yrs ago so I had to teach myself all of it- pre, algebra I/II,college algebra. I'm testing at the end of this week. I'm going to be taking the sociology test also (that one seems like a piece of cake-studied 3 days !)

On Monday I start an online class for Chemistry, two classes at the CC-english and communication. I'm going to start studying Anatomy next week on my own.

bsn2b09-you were studying Stat? did you do that one? I'm wondering if I should do that one now since I have all this wonderful Algebra running round in my head.

I'm really starting to feel I'm getting somewhere finally and I'm beginning to see the difference it's making. I'm constantly running across things I've learned doing these pre-req.

What are the rest of you guys working on? what have you tested out of? I love to hear feedback !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wink2:

I just did my LAST nursing challenge exam today! Got a 92 on the maternity one (N330)!! All I can tell you guys is do that practice test!!! There were a LOT of questions straight off of the practice test in the study guide. Same deal with the N106 one (just FYI).

I'm doing my retest of public speaking next. *gulp* This has been hanging over my head for over a year. Failed it the first time d/t my speech being just shy of 3 min. I've been dreading retaking it but I gotta get it over with. Ugh.
