In your opinion, what is the hardest class in nursing school?

Published

Just a random question,

What would be the hardest class that you have taken/ or are currently taking in nursing school??

Mine would be Med-Surg. ;)

Pharm without a doubt. The explanation in pharm usually comes down to ... "that's how it is". Med-Surg makes more logical sense in terms of studying since "this interacts with that, which interacts with this, which causes this" ... a nice smooth logic flow.

def pharm for me

I agree, Pharmacology.

I'm a weirdo, because I didn't have too much trouble with adult med-surg or pharm...my hardest class was Theory and Research.

This was partly because I had an idiotic advisor who didn't catch that I needed statistics before taking it, and partly because it was just a difficult class. Either way, I struggled and cried and prayed through it :uhoh3:

I'm taking pharmacology now as I wait for acceptance into a nursing school. I know that it most likely won't count no matter where I go, but I'm hoping that I'll become familiar with the names of the drugs enough so that when I do it again it will be easier. I find that I don't have a problem with the mechanics of the drugs, it's just remembering the names of the drugs. This is the first time where flashcards have come in useful for me.

Whichever one you are in at the time!

pharm is a lot of information to digest so I spend a lot of time studying, but med surg clinicals are the hardest!

PHARMACOLOGY FOR SURE.... I hate pharm..

I am starting an RN program this Fall and according to this post it seems that everyone thinks Pharm is the hardest class they have taken so far. I have worked as a pharmacy technician for almost 10 years now, 4 of which have been in hospital pharmacy, I sure hope that this experience will help me once I start pharmacology! AHHH!!! Already getting nervous and I do not start for 4 more months!! :-)

Pharm was the most difficult for me. My second most challenging area was Endocrine Med Surg.
