I'm probably taking Chem + A&P fall semester!

Published

Tell me if this is crazy or not. I never took a science class in college before so this will be my first time, but instead of taking just one, I'm taking two! I'm guessing that science classes are not easy in college and even my counselor told me that taking two at the same time won't be easy! :D I like science classes though..What do you think? I'm taking intro to chem (I think that's what it's called) and A&P 150 (uh I only know that it's 150..I think it had the word human in the class title..or it may be something else) and then after that I'm taking another A&P class along with micro during spring semester! Yayee! :biggringi It's gonna be a party for me :balloons:

Is that the only two you are taking? It can be done ,but get ready to work your hinny off. I personally would not do it. I took all my sciences by thereselves so I could focus in a get the best grade I could. Remember , most nursing schools rely heavy on GPA and the these sciences way alot. So keep focused and your head in the books ... You can do it!!! Good Luck.

It's doable, just be prepared to lots of commitment and study time! I suggest you take those two only and be on the safe side. Good luck to you. :kiss

You'll do fine. Keep on top of your studies and stay organized and it will go smoothly.

Good luck to you. As was stated above, be prepared to work very hard, but I think you know that.

You can do it. In the fall of 04 I took Intro to Chem,A&P1,Computers,Speech and I got a 4.0 that semester. It was hard work but doable. In the spring of 05 I took A&P 2, micro, college algebra, nutrition and intro to professional nursing. I think I ended up getting a 3.3 that semester. I worked hard but my mom got diagnosed with COPD that semester so I was running back and forth to the hospital and doctors appointment with her so school took a back seat that semester. I also work and have a 3 year old. So as you can see it can be done. You just have to study hard and make sure you take some time for yourself here and there so you don't go crazy!!! Good Luck

I am scheduled to take A&P, chem, and psychology in the fall. I think I will be dropping A&P until spring. Everyone I talked to said how horrible my chem teacher is so I am going to take on a lighter load. I also have a 3 year old and 1 year old at home. I was thinking of maybe even taking on a English instead of the A&P. Good Luck!

Am I taking just those two science classes this fall semester?? NOPE. I'm also taking sociology, eng. composition and speech and then during the spring semester I'm taking the other A&P class along with microbio and three other non science classes. It's the only way in which I will be done with my pre-reqs before the next set of school semesters begin :) :crying2:

But it seems like all of you guys handled it well so I'm hoping that it will be the same for me. I mean as long as I don't slack off I should be fine right? :D

I'm doing A&P1 and Chem this fall semester. I'm know I'm crazy, and I'm confident I can handle it. I'm only taking one other course online. No more than 12 credits this semester for me.

I'm sure it's doable, but I would definately take my prereqs in 1.5years instead of smushing them into one year. That sounds like a train wreck waiting to happen. I hate to be discouraging, because it might be plausable, but you have to also looking at commitments you have outside of school.

It's not crazy. You will be able to pull it off. Just devote the right amount of study time and take good notes. It's doable!

This is my second year doing pre-reqs. That's why I'm trying to finish everything within this year :coollook:

I really hope I put in the effort throughout this semester. You know how sometimes you want to slack off and instead of going for the A you go for the B? :chuckle That is very tempting to do when you seriously don't want to type up another page :chuckle I have a week and a couple of days before fall semester starts so I'm going to spend my time to the fullest! Hope you guys do well in your classes too :Melody:

I'm taking A&P 1 online thru EduKan, and medical chemistry and nutrition at City College of San Francisco. And I work full-time. Oh well, who needs sleep anyway?!?! :rotfl:
