As if Monday wasn't bad enough...
I made a parent come in and sign a med form after they sent cough syrup and nasal inhaler with their kid and just "called to let me know".
AND
I wouldn't pull out the loose tooth of a kindergartner.
I had a student sent to me because the zipper of her dress broke on picture day. Since I cannot sew, I used a line of safety pins up the side of her dress. She never returned, so I guess it held.
I absolutely hate fixing glasses; I don't feel like I see well enough to deal with those tiny screws. I will try once, but after that, the glasses go in a baggie and are sent home for Mom or Dad to deal with.

My co workers don't realize that there wasn't a specific learning module in my school nursing classes that involved learning how to fix glasses. I am not good at it. I don't have patience for it. I'll try 3 times with that tiny screw and if i can't get it i send it home. the kids can wear them with one arm / leg whatever if they need them to see the board for the day.

And what exactly are we supposed to do with glasses that are completely snapped in half????????? C'mon Now!!! I used to try super glue them. Well, then they come back 7 times a day everyday needed them re -glued. Now, I place in a baggie and send home.

Poop on shoes? HELL NO.
Not medical. Not even in the least.
