We just decided for sure, we are going to Adopt a baby girl from Russia! We have 2 bio sons, and are thrilled at the process of adding another dimention to our family!

This is another one of those "Dreams" that took years to achieve.

I should be a new mom again....... in about 10 months!

:kiss :roll

Shishel: Can you believe it?? So many things have fallen into place, Im excited. When it gets closer, I'll let you know. Then if you have any traveling advice, I would appreciate it!

Wooohoooo, Im still on cloud NINE!!

Beautiful story, all the best to you and your new expanded family!

"Uliana (pronounced Ouliana) , Alexandra, Eugenia, Anastasia , Daria ..... I can give you more These are actual Russian names that sound really nice in english too."

Shishel,

those are beautiful names....

Connie......how cool it would be to gift your child with a name from her country of origin....

I think it would be a very moving, touching, legacy with which to honor your daughter, and the wonderful country who entrusts her to you and your wonderful family!

Bevi, Believe me, I have thought about that too! This child may be gifted with two middle names...

Its funny to see every one (in my family) debate what her name should be! Our boys have a defenate opinion on this matter! :roll

How about mom and dad choose one name and the boys choose the other....making it a family decision!

Are you going to go and see the baby? My brother in law adopted from the philipines. The baby they got had all kinds of problems that they were not informed about. He needed 8 years of speech therapy, three times a week had several illnesses that were very costly to get medical care. Just something to think about. It is very exciting news!

Renerian: Yes, we are able to see her, then decide if we want to continue or not. I can also show our ped. Dr the medical report before we go over. I can take digital photos, video and email to his office for review, and they also get rechecked before leaving the country.

No, its not fool proof, but then a bio child may have issues to be dealt with too. :)

Our oldest has a learning disabliliy in reading, writting, and math. And our youngest had speech therapy for 3 years three times a week for 2 hours at a time.

We are not going to say she will be perfect, when there is no such thing. Thanks for the loving warning though :)

Congratulations!

Another thing about medical issues, is my Dh works at the hospital and we have fairly good insurance for medical problems.
