Wooo Hooo I got my letter yesterday and just thought it would be great if everyone who get's their letters had a place to post. If they were accepted or not. Then we can all congratulate or console each other in one place :)
My letter said I passed the entrance exam. (LVN school) That means I got in. Woo Hoo I am still happy about that!
What did your letters say? Post it Here!
date received: march 28, 2006
program: adn
school: macomb community college
state: mi
when does school start: won't find out exact start date until mid-june. they have 4 different start months and we receive a letter in june telling us when ours is.
can anyone who has received their letter from macomb tell me if they had their ranking on it? at the advising session the counselor said it may or may not have a ranking on it. i am wondering if he meant the initial letter or the one we get telling our start date.

last year they did not tell us our ranking either, i think they only ranked the alternates....... at orientation they let us request our start dates and everyone i know of got their requested months, so i am sure if they did not rank you again this year you will have the same option.
congrats on your acceptance to macomb!!! :smiley_aa i know how excited you must be!!! enjoy the peace while you have it!!!

Wow! I am so excited. I'm kinda freaked out now that it's a reality. I'm ready to go out and buy my stethoscope. I already gave my notice at the bank where I work, which is sad because I have been there for several years. But I am excited to be moving on in my career. My husband called me at work and read the letter to me. The letter said that we will be receiving another letter in June to tell us what to expect in August, as far as orientation, uniforms, and CPR classes. I also found out that a friend of mine is also in so that will be really awesome. I can't wait for fall!
Gotta go and do my happy dance some more.

You know, people ask me about it, and I tell them, "I'll be starting Duke's accelerated nursing program in August", and it's like I'm talking about someone else - that can't be ME, going to, of all places, DUKE, can it???!!! Applying there was DH's idea because I didn't think I had a snowball's chance, to be honest with you.
The email popped up in my inbox at work and my first thought was, how odd, I didn't apply for a scholarship (and I don't know what on earth made me think that; the subject read "Congratulations on your acceptance to Duke School of Nursing" - I guess it was too surreal for me to understand!) ...it didn't dawn on me what was going on for a couple of seconds, and then when I realized what the subject line REALLY said, I was terrified to open the email for fear I'd been sent it in error...the FDA was in my office that day (I work in clinical research) and I had to stay as calm as possible, even though I was so excited I was literally crying at my desk. My DH is overseas and I was trying to get a call to go through (and of course, it wouldn't) with my Sam's Club calling card, because I didn't want the first person I told to be the next person who walked into my office (I kept eyeing the door) - so I finally got through to my mom and I was practically incoherent when she answered the phone!
