????????Congrats to everyone who got in whether LVN, ADN, or BSN...I've got 8 weeks to go, can't wait until I can hopefully post here with good news!
I think that tax might be referring to me. I'm not sure why or what the post means but it almost sounds like a diss. My school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is very tough to get into. Its got a good rep in the community. I'm taking A&P2 this summer and Micro the next so that by the time I graduate in 18 months and get licensed I will be eligible to apply to my community college ADN program. (All other pre-reqs are finished) So instead of waiting two years to get into their RN program I only need to wait one semester to one year all the while working as an LVN. No biggie. I just didn't want to wait the two years. For some dumb reason I thought I was too old to wait anymore and just wanted to start my life and have money to spend. Oh yeah nothing's bringing me down :biggringi

PROGRAM: Accelerated BSN
SCHOOL: Duke University School of Nursing
STATE: NC

I would like to congradulate all those who have been accepted to the various programs, and encourage those who are waiting to hear to hang in there.
I returned home from Disney world on spring break with the children to find an acceptance letter to ECU(East Carolina State University) alternate entry MSN program on April 2,2006. I was super excited at work the next day, I check my e-mail to find out that I had also been accepted into Duke University's Accelerated BSN program. One minute I had nothing, and the next minute I had 2 offers from two places and no idea where I really want to go. I'm leaning towards Duke, but giving up a slot in a Masters program is hard to do.
Best wishes to everyone and remeber things happen and you may not have heard anything yet because God is working something out for you.
I received my acceptance letter for the LPN program at Ivy Tech yesturday. I was thrilled, especially since I received a reject letter for their ASN program (I still had 3 prereqs to go). At least I can continue school without having to sit on the side lines and wait for next year to try again.

Good for you! I think its great that you got into the LVN program. I am doing the exact same thing as you. Why wait the extra time to get into the RN program when we can get our LPN/LVN and then go right into the RN bridge program and be done in 1 more year, it makes it almost a year and a half faster for me to go LPN and then RN. I am still waiting on my letter, I should find out if I am accepted in the next week or so. Congratulations to you!
