Wooo Hooo I got my letter yesterday and just thought it would be great if everyone who get's their letters had a place to post. If they were accepted or not. Then we can all congratulate or console each other in one place :)
My letter said I passed the entrance exam. (LVN school) That means I got in. Woo Hoo I am still happy about that!

That's a nice idea. How about if you say where you got your acceptance letter and for which program (LVN, ADN, BSN)? Then we could get an indication which schools are sending out their acceptances at certain times. Since the US maiil takes a while to reach people, it could be an indicator if "the letter" is due to reach someone's mailbox next. Congrats! :balloons:

This is a great idea!
I got my letter Feb. 18 at about 2:00! I know it was over a month ago, but I am still extremly excited about it. This is what my letter said - CONGRATULATIONS! This letter is to inform you that you have been accepted (this is where I started screaming and crying!) to the Associate of Science in Nursing Program at Ivy Tech Community College. Classes will begin during the Fall session, 2006.
I Love reading other's experience with "The Letter", so post away!
My letter was postmarked the day before so it only took one day to get here. It is from the Grossmont Health Occupatons Center for the LVN. Over 300 people took the test and there are only 60 spots. Last year only 45 passed. They begin a class each fall so just not too many opportunities to get in. That's why I'm celebrating! :w00t:

I applied to 3 schools and got accepted into my first choice school...yay! The other 2 schools denied me though. I got my denial from University of North Florida on March 21, 2006 and I got my denial from Jacksonville University March 25, 2006. I am so happy about getting into my first choice school, but I feel like terrible for being denied by the other 2 schools.
Congrats to everyone who will be starting school!!

Getting accepted is an AMAZING feeling! But I was also surprised at how RELIEVED I was for the waiting to finally be over! I hadn't realized what a toll the waiting and anticipation had taken on me. When I finally opened the letter, I started crying out of equal parts joy and feeling a huge burden lifted.......

I got my acceptance letter via e-mail. It says:
"Welcome to the esteemed members of the Fall 2006 class, the graduating class of 2009! We are pleased to offer you admission to the Pre-Licensure Nursing program.
There will be an information session about the program in May which will cover preparations for beginning the program, e.g., uniforms, immunizations, fees, etc. You will be notified of the session via e-mail once it is scheduled.
We are anxious to know whether you plan to accept our offer of admission. Please RSVP to ___ whether you decline or accept this invitation. Your timely response will allow planning for the class to move forward smoothly.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Nursing Department Office at____ or e-mail _____. We are excited about meeting you!"
It is my first choice. I have not heard from my second choice school. Most of my friends are trying to go to my second choice school, so it's a little bitter-sweet to know I am leaving them all behind. I am SUPER excited though!

PROGRAM: Entry-Level MSN, FNP
SCHOOL: Samuel Merritt College
WHEN: Fall 2006 (not quite sure about the exact start date)
They called 2 days after the interview, and I totally wasn't expecting being offered early acceptance because there were so many impressive people in the interview, and there were two more main interview days to go (I believe one just finished this weekend). I almost cried when I got the phone call, and then I ran outside and started screaming happily to everyone that I got in. I went on a quick jog with my dog around the property because I was so happy... and then I called my sisters to tell them about the great news. =)
For a good week or so until I got the admissions package, I was really scared that someone was pulling a really mean practical joke on me. But once I got the package, I sent in my Letter of Intent for admission right away. It was my first choice program, and chances were so slim of getting in (I heard that over 250 applied, and there were only 22 seats available).
The wait for the program to begin isn't quite as agonizing as the wait for finding out whether or not I was accepted... but it would be nice to find one or two people who will be in the program with me.

sorry it's so long - just wanted to share. i am still anticipating hearing from another campus, but truthfully the campus i have been admitted to, though further from home, is drawing me in. they have 15 different clinical sites they utilize. the other campus has 3! i figure the more i can be exposed to now, the more prepared i will be later :)
