If you had to pick two careers/paid hobbies other than nursing...

Published

If you could be paid decently to pursue any career or hobby outside of nursing, what would you do?

I would either be a travel photographer or own a knitting or book store :)

How about you?

Farmer and indexer.

Specializes in home health, dialysis, others.

I'd be an actress -stage, screen, TV - it doesn't matter.

Specializes in RN, BSN, CHDN.

The next food network star-cooking on TV!

or

A layabout something I have never had the pleasure of as I have worked all my life or so it seems

or

How about an auditor of Managers LOL

I would train and show dogs full time. I would also have a "harvest your own produce" farm.

Fuzzy

Specializes in infection control, peds, home infusion.

teaching swimming to children or painting murals :)

I would be on a ranch somewhere with my family, some cows and horses or become a chef.

Great question!!

Bake fancy cupcakes, learn asian cuisine, be a paid foodie, bar tender, maybe be even a celebrity assistant

I would be Miss Galileo Galilei

Specializes in Critical Care, Education.

I want to do something that does NOT require contact with other people. Srsly, I have been a nurse so long that I can't help 'assessing' everyone I meet & then fretting over their obvious health problems that they may not even don't know about. It would be such a relief to only be responsible for myself - and not worry about the my grocery cashier's SOB -- LOL

Beware the vocational obsession! It sneaks up on you.

travel agent or caterer.

1) Something with animals - vet, trainer, shelter / rescue operations

2) Attorney specializing in the defense of nurses before the board

Specializes in CMSRN.

I would want to have a cleaning business. Specifically clean with natural, very basic products. I love to clean.

As a side job I would love to be the person who gets to try out all the products that are "as seen on tv". The infomercials make me want to buy (even though I do not) and see if it really does what it says.
