I was taking care of a 98 year old man who had a Cholecystostomy tube. While draining the mans chole bag I let one rip. He looked around and said "Ugh what smells so bad?"...Yep you guessed it, I blamed it on the chole bag. I am not proud of what I did.

No shame. I did the same thing when emptying my GIB'er's ostomy bag.

Similar situation. I finally learned not to eat hummus and raw veggies for snack. I'm not proud either...but hey, it's better than using the Med room. ðŸ˜

Most GIB will cover any smell any where on my unit.
It's a free for all.

You can let them rip pretty much anytime and anywhere...someone close by had diarrhea or an ostomy. 😜

Oh no, I have to say I'm in the running for the worst ever.
I blamed mine on the non-existent ostomy patient down the hall

I just blame it on my gut flora. They never argue back.

Up side to working on a GI type ward. Also the pan room (sluice) is another great option!

School nurse.
I blame it on the student that just left the clinic. Every time.
