:redbeatheOkay MCC hopefuls, we are under the 45 day mark. Hopefully within 30 days we will at least have our ranking!!:redbeathe

42 days until letter day.....how are you feeling?

Mine came! Finally an acceptance letter!! Yay!!

Congrats!!! Does it tell you your ranking?? OR do we have to call for that?

No, it doesn't say.

I didn't even think of calling. I would love to know. It says that orientation is May 20th, and that by June 19th, they would let us know about our start dates.

No ranking info, 100 fee due may 1st. Mandatory orientation may 20 1-5:30. Start point letters mailed June 19! Hope to meet everyone at the orientation! We should celebrate after! Wonder if u can get ranking when u pay 100?!?

I already called my work and told them I will be late! They are all rooting for me so they were really understanding! I cannot leave for work at a time like this!

CorazonDeOro, you made it if I remember what your GPA/HESI were. My GPA was 4.0 and my HESI was 92. So, I made it!

I actually stalked the poor mail man. Took my Dog for a walk, as I was nearing home, I see the mail man pull up on the street. I start jumping up and down and waving to him. Then, a neighbor had stopped me, and I told him that I was waiting for the Nursing Acceptance Letters. The mail man walks up and I just start telling him how much he would be my favorite person if he gave me my mail. (I was only 3 houses away). I told him what I was waiting for and he's like... well... ok... and I see the MCC envelope. I ripped it open right there and started to scream, jump up and down and start hugging my neighboor. The mailman had made his get-a-way at this point, because I was acting like a loonatic! LOL.

I'm shaking right now, didn't know my HESI would be ok.

I'm excited to meet you all at the orientation. We should wear like blue scarves or something! LOL.

To all of you who had worked so hard and weren't able to make it this round, my thoughts go out to you that you are able to realize your dream too! I will say prayers, because in all honesty everyone here deserves to get into the Nursing program. You all are amazing! :redbeathe

My birthday is the 21st, so we should definitely do some celebrating!! :)

Congratulations to all who have made it.

And to those who haven't, but were born to be nurses, please, don't give up your dream. The trend in this profession is that some people are coming into it for the money and job security. What happens is that either they don't end up making it thru school, or they leave the profession within a few years. Nursing needs the people who are there to make a difference in patients lives, not those who want to only make a difference in their own bank account. ---My (loud but not-so)Humble opinion---

Good Luck to all, and welcome to MCC!

Awesome news!!!

I had class today, so I rushed home as soon as I could. I'm so excited; I made it in!!! I cried like a baby:yawn:

Congratulations to you all!!!!

Woo Hoo!!! Thank goodness we got those letters today. I couldn't take much more. I got in!!! Congrats to everyone. I love the idea of wearing something so we know who each other are. For those of you on the waiting list, stay positive you still have a very good chance of getting in. I'm sorry for those who did not get in, but don't give up hope to become a great nurse.

:clpty:congratulations to those that were accepted!!

As I assumed I did not make it in, but they put me as an alternate. I do not think I will be going to the meeting for the alternate though, there are a lot of people ahead of me and of course the meeting is during my class at Baker, I think MCC has it out for me...lol.

My letter has my ranking there was 731 ranked applicants. I ranked a lot higher than I thought I would despite the fact that MCC took my GPA down several levels. It does sadden me because I think I had a chance at being 151 or 152 with the higher GPA. :crying2:

Oh well, I think Baker is the place for me, I had to leave school today because I have been very sick this week and my teacher was very cool about it so I think I am better were I am at.:heartbeat

Gemberly.....girl........ I told you that you were going to have a spot!!!!!;)

Hi all! Congrats to everyone! I know it was an emotional day for everyone whether you made it in or not. I was absolutely shocked to see an offer of admission. I had a 3.93 and a 90 HESI so was riding the fence for sure. I am assuming that grades and HESI trended down this year. It does give everyone hope for future years however because they will know not to believe everyone that tells you you have to have a 4.0 and at least a 92 HESI to get in. CONGRATULATIONS everyone once again.
