  1. Agree about the reading!! I guess it depends on what type of student you are also. NOt everyone I know did all the reading, and they were just fine:)
  2. Ok, I'm officially broke:) Purchased the last of my books except "Comprehensive Handout of Lab. and Diagnostic Tests with Nursing Implications". This was not in the bookstore, nor did I find it on Amazon. Any tips? The secretary suggested I just wait until the first day of class. I figured out how our rotations worked, just had to reread the manual:) Ya all ready:) I've been sending warm wishes and prayers to all who are already in the program and those of us who will begin in a couple weeks.
  3. Mitchymitch, Do you think since we start in Oct. this year we will start in Oct next year or will we start in Aug. next year? I finished my Ace courses:) Ready to go, any other Oct. starters besides Mitchymich and I out there??? Have a good one!!
  4. Hey your steth. will match your book roller bag:) You got it goin on now:) I love pink also;)
  5. I'm probably of no help, but I purchased the Littman Classic2 S.E. I was told this would be a good choice:) I'm sure learning to listen for certain sounds is a skill we can develop over time. Good luck, I hope you get some more concrete information;)
  6. Good question Mitchmich, I was wondering the same thing. I have been going off Nels old post on what we should be reading. I have a question. Have you heard how parking "is" where our classes are; I'm wondering if it's as hard to find a spot to park as the rest of campus??? Has anyone started their modules?? Have a great week.
  7. MItchy-Mitch, I'm excited, but nervous too. I've been waiting to get started because they said 1-month before, but I'm with you on the Hep b shots. My physical is set for the 15th; I'm heading in at 4:30 to get my first Hep B shot:) At least we have some extra time to cover some of the reading required....assuming we all start with a similar syllbus. The professional Rescuer course sounds more extensive..is it?
  8. I got my nursing packet today for Oct. start:) Yeah!! Do the online learning modules and accompanying tests require a great deal of time? 2-hours a module 3, 4??? Did anyone else get thier packet?
  9. Nell, OPs. I hope your brother is doing well. I was going to look back and check before I sent it, but whenever I check back I lose my message:) That's what I get for being lazy. :typing Sounds like you Aug. 2009 nurses are doing plenty of reading. I hope we all enjoy the journey:)
  10. I know all you Aug. starters are so busy, thank you for your posts and sharing your questions and experiences; I'm learning alot from you all:). How is your father doing Nell? Good luck to all:)
  11. Congratulations!!!!!!
  12. Hottinhorlin, Is there any requirements for where the patch goes on our uniforms....right side left side???? Thank you, pbid
  13. What side of our uniforms does the patch go on? Thank you
  14. Ouch on the price; I bought most of mine today also. Did you buy all the books including the "recommended" but not required books? I have the older edition (5th) of APA manual, so I didn't buy that one either. In addition I bought my son's books for fall quarter. Expensive day:yawn:
