I think it is time for the MCC hopefuls to start count down

Just wanted to wish all of you good luck! I know that it's hard waiting, but your time will come. I just found out a few weeks ago that I got into SC4's nursing program for the fall. I can't believe that MCC doesn't give you a date as to when they will have the letters out by. For all of us SC4 students, they had it posted right on their website(by the end of March), so there was no calling or complaining. Although SC4 does not send out a GPA/Hesi letter, so you're stuck wondering if they got it right. Anyways, I have been following your post for some time (as there is not much action form SC4 students on here) and I don't blame you for being frustrated and wanting to rant about this, afterall this is your future at stake. Well good luck anyways and make sure that you let us all know when you finally receive those darned letters.

Hi all-

Just got my ranking letter today, they will start ranking April 20, so the wait continues! I have a 3.95 with a 95 Hesi both are better than the last three years so here's hoping. Best of luck to everyone and sorry if I gave anyone mail anxiety who is stuck at work, I was just so thrilled to get ANYTHING from macomb, there is an end in sight!

I just came to say I got my ranking letter too!!!! 96 HESI and 4.0 BABY!!! YAY!!!!

This is my first time applying to Macomb but according to my letter, they are taking 152 students and previous years admitted were:

2006-90 hesi and 3.8929

2007-94 hesi and 3.9375

2008-93 hesi and 3.9380

Luvcheese! Oh thank you for the HESI/GPA info! We've been waiting for the 2008 data. Is that an average? Or the final cut off numbers? That should be with 120 people. Also, this year, they have been telling us 160 students! See now... they are saying 152... *sighs*.

Hmmm... After reading today's posts, I went to the mailbox excited about getting my letter too and I was so dissapointed there was no letter for me today. I don't think there will be mail tomorrow, so now I must wait until Saturday. I sure hope there isn't a mix up at MCC with my information. This waiting is frustrating, but I bet the wait for the NCLEX results will be just as bad or maybe even worse.

152? Where did that 160 number come from? More importantly, why did everyone I spoke to at MCC say that there was going to be 160? If they were "rounding" they should have said 150. What a crock of ****. :down:

I read this earlier and have been waiting patiently for the mailman to come. The mail is always here by 3 pm. It's now almost 4:30 and still no mailman!!!! It's like someone is playing a mean trick on me. How much more waiting do I have to do? Maybe they'll be here by 5. Until then I'll try to stay calm. :smokin:

For all of you that did receive your letter, congrats! You have a weekend with no wondering :)

I got it from the counselors. Why that changed I do not know. I'm a little curious about this too. Maybe 8 people need to take the 1500 courses again from the 2008 class and that is all they have capacity for? Those extra 8 spots were like gold! I was in shock...
