I feel everyone at allnurses gives support in time of need. Now I'm asking for prayers. I may be fired form my job for absences. I was actually injured on the job and my employer disputed the injury now they have counted those days as sick days. Almost any other time I have been absent for personal illness or illness of my immediate family I have an physician's excuse. I want to keep my job, so please say some prayers.

I also suggest if the injury happened at work you speak with a attorney that specializes in worker compensation cases.

Hoping for you. Worker's compensation was the first thing that came to my mind - could you check this out?

Hoping for the best for you here, too.

Add mine to the others. I agree, I'd look into a lawyer or your labor board for some help on this.

(((HUGS))) and prayers coming your way...and I agree with the good advice already mentioned. Feel better and heal first and foremost. if you're too worried about keeping the job you may forget this priority. If you are fired, try to get something in writing...maybe even carry a small voice activated tape recorder so you have some proof of what they say. Sounds paranoid but I know nurses who do this religiously. ;)

Keep all paperwork...and talk to someone you trust about your rights in your state. Best wishes.o
