yea, i'm not even a nurse but i love to follow the posts of the pre-nursing students waiting to get their acceptance letters.
i know, it's kind of crazy but while my daughter was playing the waiting game and then received her acceptance letter to nursing school, it was allnurses that kept me going.
the joys and disappointments, the mailbox stalkers, the camaraderie that forms with those that are waiting; there's more drama here than just about anywhere.
i rejoice with those that get accepted and i actually am so sad for those that don't.
am i the only one that does this or are there other acceptance-letter-followers here?

LOL I'm one of the ones waiting for an acceptance letter, and yes everything that you just said I have been doing or feeling! I finished my prereq's last semester and the school that I attend is send out acceptance letters for Fall 2012 this April. The suspense is killing me!!! Will this be my semester, or will I be waiting yet again?! I hope I get it ASAP!!!

I totally live vicariously through people going through the application process... it will take me years to finish the prereqs and it's encouraging to hear about people who've actually applied! I hope everybody does great and gets in where they want to go.
I guess there are only three of us.

Yes! Keeps me really grounded because I was just "here" two years ago. Funny how I have graduated forums. I read pre-nursing section religiously at first, then general nursing student/ nursing student assistance sections while in school, then graduate nurse forum. When it was NCLEX time I stalked that forum and still do because I just passed yesterday :). Now I stalk the General Nursing Discussion forum and my specialty forum, the OR. Good luck to everyone one applying. I was denied three times for nursing programs. Never give up!
Congratulations Sam!! This is what I love aboutAllnurses, successful posts!

I'm one of the ones waiting for my letter, but I also enjoy reading everyone's stories! It gives me hope every time I hear a success story, and I love reading the determination from those who get their not-yet letters.

I am doing a comparison on a clinical locations policy and procedure on Blood transfusions. Where can I find a good policy to compare it to.

The waiting game is definitely no fun.... been there done that. But had work and perseverance will definitely pay off and the feeling to get that acceptance letter in the mail will be like nothing else! I had actually almost given up because I thought I had no chance in getting accepted after reading everyone's posts on this website about how high their GPA's and pre-req grades were and they still got a rejection letter. I was starting to just give up when I got the letter in the mail on my birthday no less!!!!!!! It was the best birthday gift. I never thought I would get this opportunity. So many people on here (including myself) doubt themselves too much.
Wishing everyone who is applying the best!!! Don't give up! If someone wants it bad enough they will get in- like I said perseverance is key.
