yea, i'm not even a nurse but i love to follow the posts of the pre-nursing students waiting to get their acceptance letters.
i know, it's kind of crazy but while my daughter was playing the waiting game and then received her acceptance letter to nursing school, it was allnurses that kept me going.
the joys and disappointments, the mailbox stalkers, the camaraderie that forms with those that are waiting; there's more drama here than just about anywhere.
i rejoice with those that get accepted and i actually am so sad for those that don't.
am i the only one that does this or are there other acceptance-letter-followers here?
I too, love seeing people post about waiting :) I am playing the waiting game currently! I was denied for Spring 12, hoping for Fall 12. I do feel as though I don't have a chance, with Fall being a greater number of students applying and with much higher GPA's than me!
I do have back up plans, and classes that I plan to take while I wait! If all else fails, I am going to get my Bachelor's degree in Biology and pursue another Health Care related field in a Masters degree. Here's hoping that I get into Nursing! I
Please keep me in your thoughts! Here's hoping :) Even if I don't get in, I'm going to keep applying!
Hugs :)
Sarah
I am another one of those waiting on letters. I just took the TEAS V. I won't hear anything back until about April or May. I am so nervous. I have been on here reading this forum for over a year since I started CNA school. I have loved growing along with everyone and climbing up the forum ladder. I wish everyone the best of luck!!!

I actually sent out all of my applications on Feb 2 (NYU, LIU, PACE, and Mount Saint Vincent) and applied as a transfer student for Fall 2012. I don't have a lot of information on what my chances are of getting in as a transfer, but I can't wait to hear back soon!! I honestly don't think I have a good chance at getting in. I don't have a Bachelor's degree, am an ultrasound school graduate (GPA from ultrasound school is 2.7) and am taking pre-reqs at BMCC (where my gpa is a 3.3). However, I have a pretty great personal statement, two good recommendations, and am volunteering at a top hospital in Manhattan in the Nursing unit. So hopefully, my soft skills will be enough. Nursing2102, congratulations on your acceptance letter!!! Stories like you give me a little bit of hope. I will keep you posted on my process. I wonder how soon I will hear back...
Again, so happy for you!!!!
Good luck to everyone here :-)
