I Hate People (my rant)

Nurses Relations

Published

The Sum Up:

Why I hate people in general (reasons why):

*When they stare at me for over 3 seconds for no apparent reason! Especially, when I'm trying to eat a subway sandwich or something and they just feel the need to watch me eat. Or when I'm trying to fix my hair in a portable mirror and they just feel the need to glance at me more then twice. Once should be enough because it's rude!

*When they walk so slowww in front of me to the point where I just want to push them. Because I am a very impatient person to the point where the littlest things tick me off if it's not fast enough.

*I hate when people tries to start a conversation with me! So I just smile and nod my head and hope that they get the jist that I don't want to talk. And it's not even people in general, it's actually because I'm a bad conversationalist!

Why I dislike kids:

* I don't necessarily hate them but I do force myself to be nice as possible to them. However, I really don't like interacting with children unless it's to hold a baby.

*I don't want kids until my late 30s. Go figure. And I especially don't want to get married because every relationship I get into it only lasts for about 3 months because I love being a loner. If I'm going to work seeing people then I would like to come home and see no people.

But I love animals (I have 4 dogs)! However, I just don't see myself working with animals in the future because I would love to keep my hands in tact.

And no guys I am not trolling. This is really an everything for me and it's the reasons why it is so hard for me to commit to nursing. And I actually have an appointment set up with a therapist July 18 before I go off to nursing school and it's to find out why I really act this way.

So I just wanted to make this thread because after scrolling Allnurses for the last two days I find that threads like these are not common but their are people out there who is just like me and wants to go into nursing. I want to be a nurse because I find that I really like helping people and kids at their weakest points but other than that I hate people.

I made it all the way to page 7 .. best read of the day. Thanks for breaking up my daily tedium of chart reviews :)

Excuse me? The original post was rude, creepy and probably bat-guano crazy and you pick THIS post to call out for being rude?

Yes. I thought it was rude. I don't think it is EVER appropriate to tell someone not to have kids. It's essentially telling that person that they are so incredibly horrible that they should never breed for fear of another person being influenced by it.

That poster also came back and put what she said into context. I had misinterpreted it.

Surprised1....excellent thoughtful and loving response!!! Your comment about the stress of nursing and being an introvert are spot on!!!

Okay, what is that bizarre creature with the glasses in the earlier post?!?!?!?!

Looks like a guinea pig.

I do not hate people but I do find them really annoying at times. Mainly because they do not know when to stop talking. I do try my best to smile and listen though because I know there are adults with no friends that just need some attention but sometimes I feel like I'm being held captive. As far as children are concerned it depends on the child and if their parents make them behave.

I've worked some hospice, and you truly have to be robotic to work in such a field yet the respect needs to be there. If you become attached to every one of them it will only make your job a living hell. So yes, I do believe a bland personality is perfect for hospice. She hates people yet still wants to help and comes on as a dark person? So yes, hypothetically if she gets in a nursing program and assuming she passes then maybe YES! I might have "suggested", hospice.

Wrong again. It takes a special kind of compassion to be able to work with hospice patients and their families. You get the chance to get to know some really interesting people, if they're referred early enough.

This was over twenty years ago, but I still remember a really charming man who had been one of the paratroopers to land on Normandy. I still remember his name, after all these years.

Borderline personality disorder? And don't worry you are not alone that are plenty of nurses and doctors who are exactly like you

Okay, what is that bizarre creature with the glasses in the earlier post?!?!?!?!

It is, in fact, a guinea pig! A rather smart one, too.

Lol, I guess I have never actually seen one. Certainly not a nearsighted one. :D

I do ADORE dogs but I don't think we will get another one after our current cutie is gone or moves back in with my D. Our lifestyle doesn't support having a dog that well.

I'll probably end up being a crazy old cat lady, because I just love them and they don't need to be walked, taken outside multiple times per day, and can handle a couple of days apart while I travel.

Maybe you should be a vet lol. Or a vet assistant. Few interactions with kids, and the people you encounter are usually grateful that you healed their pet. Just spend all your time with animals.

What is happening? I posted before I read the comments and then found a bunch of crazy animals on the last page....hahaha. I love how threads evolve sometimes.
