Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

He is bad......very, very bad....

what nursing school have you applied to. Have you applied other places or just the one school?

well if you ment me, i only applied to one

i had intentions of applying to two, and then i went to the open house and it all went out the door.

Plus i could only afford to apply to one at the moment

after the application fee, the bagilion transcripts, the NLN and the rediculous money i had to pay to have my high school transcript evalulated since i went to school in another country, i cant really afford much else. Then of course mailing the stuff by registered mail didnt help either.

I don't know about you guys, but most of us if not all of us are worried about costs when we are in school, but jeez i wasn't prepared for how much it would cost just to APPLY to school, i think in all i spent over 200 smackers to apply.

I keep checking the mail everyday and the letters aren't even supposed to go out until the end of April. It seems like years away. I try to stay focused on school, but it is so hard!

best wishes :)

I have all you guys beat! I have to wait until the end of May to get my letter!!! :o

:nono: But how long is your total wait time... from time of application deadline to time letters get sent out?

:lol2:

I was told the acceptence letters would be mailed out "mid march" I cant help but go to the mailbox each day wishfully thinking it will contain "the letter" ......I keep trying not to get my hopes up but it's hard!

hink we've uncovered the real reasons behind the nursing shortage in this thread:

1. We all have a bit of an addiction problem and some slightly obsessive tendencies

and....

2. If we aren't looking for a fix it's because we have checked into the nuthouse where we can hone our chanting skills...OHMMMM!! :rotfl:

:banghead: I just found out that the Nursing Department is having a meeting TODAY in regards to the applications. The scores for admission were sent out a couple of weeks ago and March 5th was the last day to dispute the scores.

I am assuming that the meeting is probably going to center around how many students to admit, exceptions to rules if any are going to be granted, what to do if students have duplicate scores (who to rank higher), etc.

I originally thought that the Registrar's office (that sends out the acceptance letters), was going to be out next week for Spring break but I found out that they are working...which is a GOOD THINK.

I'M DYING HERE!

Hey hopeful,

I hope everything works out for you and you soon get your letter. Where are you hopeful of getting into--what nursing program?

I can't even stalk the mailman for some of my decisions, because they come by email. I had myself convinced that my inbox was full of read messages so I deleted EVERYTHING..when I still didn't get anything, well..I might have stooped to the level of sending myself a test message from my other email address..

pathetic..I know..I'm just fortunate I'm not applying to business school like a few of my friends..the admissions people CALL them to let them know if they got in..eeeks. I probably wouldn't let anyone else answer the phone for 3 months...

:trout: Don't shoot the messenger !!!:lol2:

I just keep hoping that March will magically skip forward....the sooner to April (my school said the letters would be received last week of March/early April, so I assume it will more likely come in April) comes, the better.

Just PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let March fly by. I can't take the wait any longer. It's killing my soul.
