I Graduated Today 5/29

Published

YES! Finally!! We had our pinning ceremony tonite and it feels so wierd. I almost feel lost and empty inside. Our class was really like one big dysfunctional family. We are all friends! Maybe it has been sooooo long since I have had a life that it feels scary trying to have one outside of school. Anyway, just thought I'd announce the news!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

I did feel kinda weird the first couple of weeks after graduation. Excited about finishing but lonely at times. When you spend 2 years with the same people, listening to their problems, praying for them, getting through some of the most trying times with husbands, boyfriends, children and parents and then, not talking or seeing anyone for weeks at a time it is tough. My class was very close and when we were all in school it was like the outside world did not exist from one test to another. We were each others support system.

The good thing is, it gets better! After a year I still keep in touch with people from time to time and it is great hearing about all the new experiences they are having.

I wish you the best of luck Tweetiepie! Congratulations on your graduation!

:balloons: congrats well done enjoy

:balloons: congratulations! :balloons:

i know that you have been waiting a long time for this day!

I felt the same way also. You work hard for those years with this one day in mind and then it's hear and gone! You leave behind your friends to start a job where you don't know anyone. It does get better once you start working and can get into a new routine. Get all your classmate's email addresses so that you can keep in touch.

Congrats on your graduation. I understand. You spend shed so much blood, sweat and tears with these folks and they are the only one who you could relate to. Good luck in your future as a nurse!

Congrats! It si nice to see people cheering each other on. I will have my orientation Tues and the first day of classes will be Wed. It has been a year in the making of part time pre reqs, full time work, being a newlywed (and the ups and downs that implies) and to top it all off, NYC living (I'm not a New Yorker to say the least-- no offesnse to New yorkers before it starts just really busy and crowded, ya dig!) But I am in, committed, and 15 months from now, hope to feel as good as you all do now. I guess I can look up the old posts but any advice to the newbie??

don't scare me too much! :uhoh21:

Great job on your completion of your program.
