Something happened to me at Wednesday that i thought i would never hear.
I was told by my team leader that bouncing breasts are very inappropriate in the workplace.
There had been several complains on me for a long time (she claims).
And that i from now on, always had to use a bra.
Was she right to correct me like that, should i complain on her ?
My reason for not wearing one, is that i get very easy shoulder painfrom the bra straps
. It's not to get attention !

Then find another one. There are plenty with wide, padded straps. You could even wear a strapless bra if necessary, a tank top over that, and then your scrub top. Flapping in the breeze is simply not an acceptable option.
Can you pass the pencil test?
When I entered an LPN program about 10 years ago, my instructor asked the class the above question. This is a test to determine if you can go without a bra. You take a pencil and place it under your breast. If the pencil stays when you release it, you failed the pencil test and must always wear a bra.
They have pads that can go under the bra strap. Also, you may want to consider getting a professional bra fitting. If you are experiencing pain, you may be wearing the wrong type or size.
Good luck!
if you decide not to wear a bra you should at least wear an undershirt...
but when i first read this i thought - its none of their business!! lol!
but i always wear at least an undershirt (with a bra!) because when you bend over you always give a show due to the cut of a scrub top!
someone should have talked to you, not reprimanded you!

If you are gettting shoulder pain from the straps is for one of two reasons or both of them
1) You need to loosen the darn straps
and/or
2) Your bra is too small, get properly fitted for the correct size.
I am very large chested especially for my height/weight. And I never have shoulder pain (I have pinched nerves in both shoulders so it would be really easy for me to have shoulder pain). I was professionally fitted for a correct sized bra and I am so comfortable now.
Please, heed your managers advice, put a bra on or at the very least something that properly covers you. Get a fitted t-shirt to wear under the scrub top (preferably NOT white).
I am far from a prude but I can tell you if anyone in healthcare was braless in a scrub top, I'd have to say something. I really don't want to see your breasts everytime you bend over, i really don't want to see them bouncing and jiggling as you move..thanks..I;m good. And heaven forbid a braless scrubtop wearin nurse was caring for my young daughter, I would most definatly have something to say.
