I thought I would start a thread for those who have applied, do that we can keep each other posted on what is going on with the process. Also here to promote tons of positivity for everyone.

got a letter stating deposits will be friday.

dear scholar:

your october stipend payment and orc will be posted in your account starting this friday 10/31. please check your accounts. however, please note that sometimes it takes your bank a few days to post it to your account.

yay! this is great. i really started to doubt that we would get our money until maybe mid november. but, thank god for small miracles.:lol2::bowingpur

Ok I also got the email. However, I should receive a stipend for September and October along with the ORC. Do you guys suggest they are including September stipend with October?

My understanding is we are suppose to get every month that we spent at least 15 days in school. If you started Aug. 14th you would get that month, sept. and Oct. I started Aug. 20 so I should get Sept. and Oct. plus ORC. It says all of this in the bulletin

Woohoo! I got my stipend payment today!

Too bad I started school on August 18th instead of the Friday before! :p

Can't complain tho! :rolleyes:

Anyone know when we can expect them from now on? First of month, last of month?

OK so has everyone gotten their payments??? I keep checking my bank account and still nothing. Mind you i changed my banking information after I had been awarded and sent the necessary paperwork to Ms. Joyner but with the unorganized nature of this program I am starting to wonder if that has something to do with it. Anybody??? :uhoh3:

Did you change your bank branch? You are not suppose to change your account until after you receive your first stipend. You may want to call and find out what the problem is.:no:

Yeah I talked to Ms. Joyner like 2 months ago and she told me to go ahead and send in the paperwork because I had to close my old account...so I don't think it was a matter of me changing it I think it's more if they actually put it in like they were supposed to at this point. I was really trying to see if everyone had their already so I'd know how worried to be...And believe me I have been ringing their phones off the hook and gotten no answers.
