HRSA Nurse Corps Scholarship 2020-2021

I havent seen a thread yet on this year's nurse corps application cycle & my anxiety has made me start one. I'm finishing up my application and should be done with it by today. I know its extremely competitive so honestly I dont think I'll get it but its worth a try! Who else has applied/is applying?

Is anyone going to a program with required Summer semesters? The application wouldn’t let me put August 2020-July 2021, so I had to put August 2020-May 2021. I meet the requirements to be funded for the Summer, but I just wasn’t able to put it in the application and I want to make sure I’ll get funded. Anyone in the same boat?

I just called and the lady said she’ll make note of that since it’s a mistake on their end. But you might want to contact them.

That's good to know! Thanks for calling and asking. I'm starting an accelerated program so I'm technically a "Senior", but it's my first year in the program...did she say what the year refers to?

Same! It’s what year you’re in, so I think it should be 1 and not 4. It’s confusing.

Just FYI, I called because I am unable to get a School Seal/Stamp on my enrollment verification due to the registrar office working from home with the pandemic. She said they're aware and the seal will NOT be required this year. So don't worry if you can't get it ?

I did the same thing...I'm going to wait until I'm officially accepted into the program and then investigate, because I too meet the criteria for Summer funding.

Does anyone know how long being “under review” takes? I just called HRSA, last day is September 30th FYI.

Here's a stupid question: What does it mean to be a finalist? Does anyone know? Do all finalists get funded or is there another vetting process?

So I called and he said that year 4 should probably be bubbled if it's an accelerated program...but that they'll check when they contact financial aid directly. So I'm leaving it and making a note for them!

What did your schools' put for Term/Semester dates on the form? Did they only put the dates for Fall semester?

Hello! CONGRATS everyone! How did you guys sign the W4 form? Did you print it out and scan it because it doesn’t let you electronically sign it! Thank you!
