  1. Hi I’m not in the same situation, but I saw this. To clarify, you’re “employed” by HRSA located in Maryland, not the school. I think you’d pay federal taxes on HRSA and then your state of residence tax.
  2. I received mine at 2:01 today. Congratulations everyone! Remember if you haven’t, there’s people that didn’t get signatures until the last week and the award a few days later.
  3. Hi Alyssa! I spoke to a rep about a week after my contract was countersigned on August 6th. The rep said the same thing - that she could only see I was in final review and not the counter signature even though I can see it. I wouldn’t sweat it at all. I think they’re just looking at the main page that we see and not actually clicking on the contract. When I told her about the contract in general like where it is on the page, she seemed very confused. Deep breaths, we got this!!
  4. I’m not, but I’m in NJ! About 50 miles from penn station.
  5. Yes I understand. My apologies as well. Good luck with everything!
  6. The original poster’s post says their school has provided an invoice. Hence why we are inquiring about that.
  7. It’s hard to read tone through a message board so I’m going to assume you’re just being factual. The fact is you literally mentioned that your school has been invoiced so I just asked for clarification because yes, I can read and have read the contract and do in fact work under a federal grant and know how they work. Therefore, I was surprised and uncertain of the meaning of your post. Good luck!
  8. What do you mean regarding health insurance? I wasn’t aware they pay it. I called healthcare.gov and since it’s taxable income they said it counts when determining any tax credits for health insurance premiums.
  9. Thank youu for your reassurance. Last questions- Has HRSA reached out to you directly regarding next steps and does your portal still say under final review?
  10. Ugh now you have me worried! I received finalist notification on July 16th and my contract was countersigned August 7th. I just contacted my school’s bursar office however and they haven’t been notified for an invoice yet.
  11. Nothing has changed for me but I did receive the signature on August 6th. Did you make sure you scrolled to the bottom of the contract and look under your electronic signature? That’s how it’ll be set up for their end.
  12. Hi! I only applied to Nurse Corps but I read on past forums that if you’re selected as a finalist for one (when you’ve applied to both programs) and you submit all your info, that you are no longer eligible for the other. As a finalist of the nurse corps my portal says something similar - finalist under final review (I think- I’m not logged in right now). For nurse corps the award can be distributed up to September 30th as the federal fiscal year ends the 31st. It also says that you’re not guaranteed an award in case they run out of funds. There is a clause in the contract about Congress being able to defund the program, I’d assume the NHSC program has it as well as most grant projects have this clause. Last year people received award letters on September 26th. I had to pay for my tuition upfront too. Hopefully we find out something soon! Goodluck!
  13. That’s odd but don’t sweat it because this whole process is. I tried logging into the participate portal but I got the same message as you.
  14. Hi! I've attached a picture of the roles tab, but I’ve had that on there since day one and it’s always said applicant. There’s no way for me to change it so IDK what they’re talking about. I received the signature on August 6th.
