Hi I’m not in the same situation, but I saw this. To clarify, you’re “employed” by HRSA located in Maryland, not the school. I think you’d pay federal taxes on HRSA and then your state of residence tax.
I received mine at 2:01 today. Congratulations everyone! Remember if you haven’t, there’s people that didn’t get signatures until the last week and the award a few days later.
Hi Alyssa! I spoke to a rep about a week after my contract was countersigned on August 6th. The rep said the same thing - that she could only see I was in final review and not the counter signature even though I can see it. I wouldn’t sweat it at all...
It’s hard to read tone through a message board so I’m going to assume you’re just being factual. The fact is you literally mentioned that your school has been invoiced so I just asked for clarification because yes, I can read and have read the contra...
What do you mean regarding health insurance? I wasn’t aware they pay it. I called healthcare.gov and since it’s taxable income they said it counts when determining any tax credits for health insurance premiums.
Thank youu for your reassurance. Last questions- Has HRSA reached out to you directly regarding next steps and does your portal still say under final review?
Ugh now you have me worried! I received finalist notification on July 16th and my contract was countersigned August 7th. I just contacted my school’s bursar office however and they haven’t been notified for an invoice yet.
Nothing has changed for me but I did receive the signature on August 6th. Did you make sure you scrolled to the bottom of the contract and look under your electronic signature? That’s how it’ll be set up for their end.
Hi! I only applied to Nurse Corps but I read on past forums that if you’re selected as a finalist for one (when you’ve applied to both programs) and you submit all your info, that you are no longer eligible for the other. As a finalist of the nurse c...
Hi! I've attached a picture of the roles tab, but I’ve had that on there since day one and it’s always said applicant. There’s no way for me to change it so IDK what they’re talking about. I received the signature on August 6th.
There’s a section about that in the guidance document on page 14. I know for federal loans that if you use them before you’re officially awarded, the scholarship reimburses.
I wish they were consistent in what they tell people. Some of us have heard the opposite. In the past I’ve read people have been dropped, but they also had issues with their applications.
Hi everyone, I know the Other Reasonable Costs (ORC) are dependent upon program, but does anyone have a ball park figure of what has been offered to participants in the past? Thanks!
Yes I saw that so hopefully they don’t run out of funds. Another line however was a clause about the appropriation of funds and congress. That means if congress wants to pull money from it for something else they can. The federal fiscal year ends Se...
Thank you for getting back to me. Ah okay I guess I’ll try to be patient. Last year and the year before they didn’t find out until September 26 and 27.
