U.S.A. Kentucky

Does anyone have suggestions where to do my 120 hrs for my internship? I have passed my state boards and just need these hrs. Please help!!!!

Is the problem that you cannot find work to complete these hours?

That is correct. No one seem interested in having and LPN inter. I am not sure if it because a lot of places are going more toward RNs or what.

I have the same problem ,passed my boards but so hard to find a place to finish my 120 hrs.

If you are unable to complete the 120 hours prior to your provisional license expiring, contact the board of nursing IN ADVANCE. I was told by the KY BON that I could pay another fee, submit the paperwork again, and receive another provisional license. Luckily I didn't need to do that, but it was still a relief knowing that it was an option (without going through NCLEX again).

Good Luck!

I am a new grad also seeking employment. A new grad can't get experience unless we get hired. This sucks. JCC is no help either. I payed for a class last sememster to help prepare me for job search, and basically got nothing from the professor that calls herself a Doctor.

Yes, well I can't find anywhere right now that will allow me to do 120 internship. It is awful. JCC is not any help at all and when you ask them they act surprised like it is something new. I will keep you updated on if I find anything and if so where to go.

Have you extened your search to indiana and the counties that surround jefferson county kentucky?

No I have not extended it to Indiana! Why, have you had luck over there?

How far are you from Danville?

Ephraim McDowell hospital hires LPN and

seems to always be hiring.

good luck!:)

I am having the same problem! I hate to say it but I'm glad it's not just me, I was starting to think there was something wrong with me. I have passes my boards and have had to pay $110 3 times just to get these stupid 120hrs...... I almost feel like I have wasted my time busting my but for this tittle. I also went to JCC and was thinking about going down and talking to Mrs. Wyatt but apparently its not helped any of you........ AHhhh I'm at a loss. Ive hit up every nursing home know to man, and all the hospitals that didn't laugh at me when I called asking if they hired LPN's in the first place. 90% of the want adds say they want at least a years experience, well where in the BANANA SANDWICH is is a girl supposed to go and get that years experience?? :uhoh3:

One option is taking your boards in another state, a compact state that does not require you to do the 120 hours.
