Does anyone have suggestions where to do my 120 hrs for my internship? I have passed my state boards and just need these hrs. Please help!!!!
Im sorry you guys are having such a hard time with that 120, but unfortunately it aint easy for a LPN, especially in KY. I just happen to luck up on a spot to do my intern. I have to drive to MT. Vernon, but I got my hours done. I will be attending a committe meeting on monday with regards to the LPN program, I addressed the issues once before and I will be addressing it again. It is unfortunate that there is no help for us to get this 120 hours done and we are not told how hard it is to find a place to get it done. If you all wouldnt mind drop me an email about your concerns and I will be sure to address them.. I will not use anyones name but it would be helpful if I had some hard copies to show them....Best of Luck everyone.....

Hi tashalpn2006, I'm a miltiary wife stationed at fort knox. I've heard from several people that post is always hiring nurses. I've tried every web page suggested by Ireland and the turret, but have yet to see any openings. Is there some where else to look? Is there some place I need to go? I'm lost. I would really appericate anything you could tell me!!
thanks!!
I am volunteering at my local hospital to get my 120 hours in. I didn't want to start working because I am going back for my RN, and it will be too hard to work 12 hours shifts and go to school. My Daughter-in-law is one of the managers at a local nursing home. She said they seldom pay anyone for the 120 hour internship, because 90% of the time they hire someone, they do the 120 hours, then quit to go somewhere else. I suspect that is the reason it is hard to find places to hire you without it being completed.

I'm so glad to here I am not the only one this is happening too. I thought because I went to school in another state, that was the problem. I spent many nights crying over this. We worked hard to get our degree and now it is impossible to find a place to do these hours!! I can't believe how hard this is, but its nice to know I'm not alone. Thanks and good luck to you all!!!!
