I just transferred to JCTC. After a long hiatus from school, I decided I want to go into nursing. I have about 80 credit hours and will likely have about 200 before it's all said and done. HST 104 is required for the ADN program...has anyone taken this class? I was told it wasn't too difficult. I will be taking it with A & P 1, and pharmacology. I noticed that other nursing programs in the area do not require HST 104....does anyone know why this is?
I keep second guessing my choice on school. I've looked at all the main ones in the Louisville area. I was looking at Galen, but what keeps pushing me away is the way their credits transfer out, in case I would want to switch schools. Also, there are some negative reviews out there. I can not hardly find any info on JCTCS, but today when I went to the Little Clinic to have a TB test done, the ARNP there said she used to teach at JCTCS and left two years ago because they weren't providing instructors what they needed to teach effectively. She said many of the older teaching nurses had left for that reason. That was very off-putting and has made me nervous. I have far too many credit hours to make the wrong decision right now...
