I think that's really nice!

Pearl is one of those old-fashioned names you don't see much any more. I had a friend whose mother was named Opal. Her sisters were Ruby and Pearl!

My great-grandmother's name was Leatha, she had a sister named Wreatha!! Sorry - just a side note on old-fashioned names. :)

the names my husband and I chose for our kiddos are Reyna Dee Ann, Kianah Skylinn (pronounced key-on-ah), and Grant Shane. Those of course are my faves but i always loved Kimberlyn, Jocelyn, and Ryann for girl names I just couldn't talk my hubby into liking any of these. My sister named her daughter Kelly Jane but spelled it Kel'Leigh Jain, had to be different!

I love: Laylah, Claire, Sophie, Jordan, Lucy, Lilah, Lily (don't know why i like L names so much!), Mickey, Meredith. my husband loves mackenzie b/c it means daughter of wise leader in irish! :) Ummm, so i don't plan on having boys!!! jk....we're going to name our son Michael John after his daddy.

If/when DH and I have children we have decided on Liam Olin (Olin was DH's grandfathers middle name) for a boy and Siobhan Ruth for a girl (my grandmother's name was Ruth) DH also likes the name Mairead for a girl, but I dont want to totally rip off the family I babysat for many moons ago. They were a VERY Irish family and had 3 children named Padraig, Liam, and Mairead.

Gosh, I may have posted this before, I can't remember, lol! But I like the names from an Irish family also, girls named: Bridie (pronounced Bride-ee), Maeve and Nuella (pronounced New-la).

Don't know if I have posted in this thread or not, but here I am anyhow. I have always disliked the fact that my first and middle names were a total of eight letters long, I looooooooooooove long names, think they look and sound so special.

My kids are:

Heather Karolyne

Charles Anthony

RoseMarie Autumn

My grandkids are:

Christopher Xaviar

Lucas Sage

Moxy Rhiannon (her first name was going to be Analiece but they changed their mind in the last month before she was born.)

KaroSnowQueen, I feel the same way about my short names!! My first and middle names are 10 letters long.....

Wow, I just read through this whole thread (vegging on my day off), and didn't see Joshua one single time! Surprising. That's my oldest son's name, and I have a Lucas (LOVE that name!) and a Daniel. Of course, I had many girls names picked out along the way! I liked Noelle, Madeline, Anna, Carly. My boys are older now, so it's been a while, but now my baby sis is pregnant and trying to choose a name. She likes Fiona for a girl, but some family does NOT.

Well, I'll go a head and add my favorite names (of my kids of course)

Alex (10 y/o son)

Ayden (6 y/o daughter) - it was unheard of around here when I named her LOL

Ashlynn (22 month daughter) I really wanted Avery but DH vetoed it. LOL

I also have a niece Brooklyn and a nephew James.
