I know this is a very random question, and I know lots of people go to nursing school when they're older and for second careers and stuff.
I graduated from high school early and will be going to nursing school at age 20 (hopefully if I get in), and I'm just wondering what the age range is for new BSN students. Is twenty typically a young age for nursing students?
I start my pre-reqs in a couple of weeks...I am 25. I feel so old! :chuckle
I have two degrees so I should be done (if all goes well) before I am 30! I am a pre-nursing student in a traditional BSN program. At least I have 10 classes out the way.
I remember that many of the nursing students I saw walking around campus were non-traditional students looking (over 25)...so maybe I'll be in good company.
Good luck to you! You seem to have everything mapped out I wish I had gone into nursing at your age! But "age ain't nothing but a number."

I'd say 20 isn't young...probably average? My classes are at night, so most of the students are actually old than me (32 now). I believe one girl is younger than me and two are right around the same age, but the other 4 are older than me...which is pretty normal for night classes I think.
I'm going into an ADN and I was 27, almost 28 when I went into that program. This is my first degree...
5 1/2 years later...but going part time, work full-time and had a baby in 2005 which I took some time off to enjoy.
