How old were you when you began nursing school?

Published

I know this is a very random question, and I know lots of people go to nursing school when they're older and for second careers and stuff.

I graduated from high school early and will be going to nursing school at age 20 (hopefully if I get in), and I'm just wondering what the age range is for new BSN students. Is twenty typically a young age for nursing students?

I'm 21 and starting on August 25th. I know the age range at the school is 20 - 35.

I got accepted into the program at my school when I was 19. I will be 21 when I graduate with my BSN.

That is if all goes well!!! lol and I dont lose my dang mind before then...

I reckon I was 37 when I started pre-reqs.

Most of the students in my class are late 20's to mid 30's. I started working on my BSN when I was 44. I'll graduate when I'm 48.

I turned 18 a week before I graduated highschool, and 22 three days before I graduated from nursing school. I went straight to college, and stated the program at 20.

I would say the majority of my 80 classmates started at 20 or 21.

I just started and I am 20 years old, but I'm in an ADN program not BSN.

i don't think any age is too old to get a college education! i started college the fall semester after graduating high school. since i started i changed my major 3 times before deciding on nursing. i finally got accepted in spring 2005. i was 25. in my class the ages ranged from 20-21 to low 50's. :)

Started RN at 41 this fall. It is my mid-life crisis. I am a career changer and already have BS and grad degree in another field, that are basically obsolete now.

38 when I started prereq's, 40 when I started nursing classes. I was dropped for this year so I will return next Fall to finish my second year and graduate 1 month before I turn 43. I can't wait!!
