How much are you making in 2016. What was your starting pay out if school?

Where are you working?

I have been an LPN a little over 10 years and upon as a new nurse I made $12.50/hr as a neuro nurse. I am currently a med/surg nurse and I currently make $22.00/hour.

I'm working in LTC/post acute rehab and making $23/hr. In Chicago, IL. Only been a nurse since June so this is my first nursing position.

NC LPN since 05 currently work as a PDN nurse (Private Duty Nurse) My base is $22.60 but we get 1.5 times base when we work any, weekend shifts so I average between $25 and $26 an hours

Specializes in Home health, Addictions, Detox, Psych and clinics..

LPN with almost 4 years experience and making 24$ per hour here in Portland, Oregon at a mood disorder clinic.

I just graduated 1 month ago from my practical nursing program. I just accepted an offer at a LTC facility. I will be working full time day shift on the skilled rehab wing. They are starting me at $24.75 an hour.

Based on a cursory glance at this member's profile, he/she is located in Oregon.

I live in Southern Oregon.

Specializes in VA, Ortho, Med/Surg.
I work in a state forensic psych hospital. I make $30.48 per hour plus $1 for bedside along with shift and weekend differentials. I have excellent benefits, a pension, and 6 weeks paid leave (vacation, personal holiday, Sat/Legal holiday) per year. I am an RN though...

The LPN's make about that at the same kind of places but in Texas as traveling nurses.

My first job as a new lvn in a ltc facility I was paid 23. Now I work at hospital in Los Angeles and I'm making a little over 25.

Specializes in VA, Ortho, Med/Surg.
Disclaimer: I don't work as a nurse anymore.

Almost $40/hr., plus full benes (Inc. 100% employer-paid healthcare w vision, dental, outside gym plan, etc.), retirement, numerous bonuses and a heck of a lot of time off (and no mandation). OT after eight hours and double time on Sunday. I work days, but if I wanted afternoons, there's a $1.85/hr diff, and overnights is a $3.90 diff. Company supplied (and laundered) work clothing, company supplied safety shoes, three private full-size lockers (one for weekly work clothing & shoes, one in shiny pretty locker room, one out on the shop floor), a company gym (with another shiny pretty locker room), showers (private, with mini dressing area attached to each one, in each locker room).

Holidays pay at triple time or double time w/an extra paid day off, your choice. If you work your regular shift and they call asking you to come in early (within 8 hours of having left, you will get what's called 'quick-turn' pay, and it is double time for those extra hours plus your next eight hours. I've worked in two plants that had this. Also, if certain skilled trades have to stay over a certain set of hours due to a plant problem, they get this, too.

Oh, and no more banging my head against the wall..like I did when I was nursing (BTW, my previous factory job paid for my nursing degree, and even continued paying it for two years after I had left that job).

I left nursing (albeit sadly, but still resolutely) for this...I went back to the factory. No regrets, no way, uh uh.

What the heck. Do you work in heaven????

That's good to hear! I'm interested in Travel Nurse. Didn't know LPNs could do that! My goal is RN but I think I'm going to start out as an LPN because I just don't want to be out of work longer than a year!
