Published

How much are you making in 2016. What was your starting pay out if school?

Where are you working?

What state is that!!

Las Vegas

Operating Room RN with 7 years experience.

HCA Hospital. Unionized.

Base Pay: $43

Call Pay: Time and a half, plus $5 just sitting at home waiting. (This is where nurses in the OR make BANK)

2016 gross pay: $131,210

Net biweekly pay: $3,300 (normal) $4300 (some OT) $5500 (lots of OT, call pay)

COL: Mod to low. I pay a 2 bed 2 bath with 2 car garage apartment with 1300sqft for $900.

Ive worked in the ER, ICU, medsurg floor and opd, and i think the OR/Surgery department, especially if if you work in a busy trauma hospital is like a gold mine! Because primarily of call pay. Last 2 weeks i worked like 60 hours a week and yesterday got my biggest paycheck ever, $5870 in 2 weeks. Work hard play hard right lol.

happy holidays to everyone!

$13.50 an hour in a doctors office in NC right out of nursing school May 2016. I recently moved back to NY and am looking for employment. Some of the places I've interviewed at are paying 17 - 18 an hour to start in an office. In LTC, they are around 18-20 an hour.

Hi, from Ohio and 4 years ago first nursing job paid $17.50 hr plus $1 shift diff and $1 hr attendance bonus; now per diem staffing agency $23 hr weekdays and $24 weekends.

Apparently, I am in the wrong job.

Alabama, Specialty Clinic $13.31/hr

I work in a very busy specialty clinic. I have 2-3 hours OT every week and I am TOTALLY exhausted at the end of the day. I sit down only for lunch break which averages 20 mins-1 hour, depending on how the day is going. :)

I got a job offer the other day for $13 an hour. The lady actually said she didn't think I'd interview for the job, but that's all she can pay. She said its basically a triage job - giving some shots at a college. An easy peezy job. I can't afford that luxury, so I had to pass.

PS, there is no such think as an easy peezy job.

SoCal-35.00 hr. Lvn care manager

My first LPN job was at an LTC c a Low level Lock down Psych Unit in 2011 I got $17/hr near the Lake Ozark, MO. Now I am at an ALC/Memory Care and getting $22/hr here in KC

I work in home health care, shift care in Southern Ca as LVN. I got $20.00 per hr. With pt vent, trach & gt.

historylovinglpn, LPN

When I first started (I think it was 96 or 97) I made $10 an hour and thought i was making BANK!>

Upstate NY [Rochester, Buffalo area], 22yrs exp

LOL! Graduated in 94 started with $10.11 + E/N shift & weekend differential. ONLY accepted that low rate because I was offered my dream job in High Risk OB/GYN - L&D. After 1yr, I went in house”, their per diem rate and made like $16-$18/hr with zero benefits, choosing what days/shifts I worked.

2001 LTC made $18-$22 working weekend contracts (3/12hr & or 2/16hr shifts) zero benefits. Can't remember how much Dialysis & Doctors office made. Nursing Agencies around 1999-2002 I made $20-$22 hr.

Became an Independent Contractor Medicaid Provider - Private Duty Nurse billing Medicaid directly...$22.66 for low tech, $25.93 high tech,

30% is added for the medically fragile child $33.71

Currently, I wouldn't accept less than $25 for Doctor/Medical Offices, or less than $35 for Hospital or LTC.

New Grad Lpn Queens, New York.

Offered $25 Pediatric HomeCare, straight out of nursing school. LTC agency's offer $25 - $27 Nursing Home.
