How much do you make 2016

How much are you making in 2016. What was your starting pay out if school?

Where are you working?

LPN 1 year experience. $20.50 per hour first job. Now, I make $22.50 per hour weekdays. $26.00 per hour weekends at one job. And $24.50 per hour at another job.

Specializes in LTC and Pediatrics.

North Iowa 1.5 years experience. LTC - started at $16/hr, 5 months in at $17/hr. Per Diem through a staffing agency - $30/hr working LTC

NJ LPN in 2010 made $24hr in home care, in 2012 first job in a facility $19 took it for experience, now still in home care $30hr

I am in South Florida. There are lots of Drug detox's and treatment facilities that pay so much more then LTC. I started out making $17.50 at a none profit. Now I am making $23 - $26 depending on where I want to work. I have some LPN friends that are making $28 working at a detox over night. LTC is not the only way to go, and they pay less for more work.

HH in Florida $30/visit plus mileage. I usually have 8-10 visits a day.

Which agency/area are you located? I'm looking for work thanks

Work in LTC in Virginia. $23 hr plus $3 hrs shift differential. Weekends I get $1 more on top of that. What's odd is night shift only gets $1 shift differential.

First job in 2009 I made $18/hr, now I'm at a different skilled facility doing sub acute care in MI making $22/hr on midnights. part time so no benefits for me. Our facility also doesn't offer shift premiums.

I'm a new grad working in LTC in Metro Atlanta. I'm getting $18+1 (for the first 4 hrs) shift differential with +$0.30 every hour after on the weekdays and $19+3 (again for the first 4 hours) with +$0.50 every hour after on the weekends. Time and a half on holidays and for overtime. I feel this is a good start.

When I first started (I think it was 96 or 97) I made $10 an hour and thought i was making BANK! Of course $10 an hour in 1996 went farther than now. AT least it felt that way. I was single, no kids. i thought I hit the big time in 1998 when I got a job at a derm office in 98 making $12 an hour!

I now work at a psych facility making $28 an hour. It was supposed to be $27 but the day before my orientation I played a bit of poker and told the nursing home I chose another facility that was offering my $28 (they weren't). The facility said they would match it. So now making $28, and boy are they making me work for it.

Wow, reading these comments just makes me feel very underpaid. I started as a Ward Clerk/CNA on the Med-Surg floor at my hospital and they paid for me to go to school for my LPN. I graduated in June and currently work at a walk-in clinic "Urgent Care". I am only making 12.64/hr. The most I know of anyone in my state (WV) getting paid as an LPN right out of school is 18/hr on a telemetry floor in the larger city.

Specializes in Psych/Addiction/School.

I live in Hawaii and as a LPN in Private Duty Nursing I make $21/hr and my other job, a LPN in Psych Nursing I make $24/hr.
