  1. Just curious. I am just getting back into the Nursing field working at an Assisted Living/Memory Care Facility. Thoughts on getting Insurance, if so what do you use ans how much do you pay? I have to renew my Massage Insurance every year at $159 and in 11 years I've never had an issue arise and it also comes included with free CEUs for both states I am currently licensed in...is there Nursing Insurance that does that? Thank you in advance!
  2. I just started a job after 4 years of not using my LPN license and I work in ALC/Memory Care and they start LPNs off at $22/hr I am on the SW side of KC
  3. My first LPN job was at an LTC c a Low level Lock down Psych Unit in 2011 I got $17/hr near the Lake Ozark, MO. Now I am at an ALC/Memory Care and getting $22/hr here in KC
  4. Thank you for sharing! This is a specialty I have my sights set on! I am so ready to further my education
  5. Oh my gosh! Sounds like my experience when I passed my boards in January 2012 and landed my first job in 2012. Needless to say my "orientation" was 2 DAYS WITH A GIRL I GRADUATED WITH!!! And thank God I was there she was trying to give 2CCs of insulin to a resident! 3rd day was with the CMT...I worked there for 4 months and I havent gone back to nursing since, I've been practicing my Massage Therapy instead. It's great when they don't tell you how to fill papers out or talk to the doctors! I'm scared to go back into the field thinking this is how it will always be and i am supposed to be looking after and saving these people if something goes wrong and I am not even prepared!
