  1. Hi Tewani, which hospital did you end up working in?
  2. When I google nclex tutoring , different tutors pop up. Can someone give me the direct website?
  3. Hi! Which did you choose to study for the Hesi?
  4. Oh that's very good to know bc I would like to attend. And their recent accreditation with the ACEN made me even more interested! Congratulations on your graduation!! Did you find a job yet?
  5. I HEAR they are getting hired in hospitals also. There is a lady where I'm doing my lpn course who just got her degree and passed the exit exam, which most ppl say is very hard at Jersey college. She also said the exit is very hard, need a 925 to pass. But there pass rates for nclex is just as high as Broward colleges' and they are a candidate for accreditation by the ACEN. I'm also looking into this school but I hear the price for tuition will make your knees weak!
  6. I'm about to attack Lpn school head on next year but have heard so many negative things about becoming an Lpn first. Everyone says go straight to RN but I have bills and a beautiful new baby so it's best for me to do it steps. I'm currently a dental assistant and I've heard that I'll probably make less as an Lpn. So I wanted some input on pay in the Ft.Lauderdale, Miami, Palm Beach area. Thanks in advance!!
  7. Well said....thank you. Just the encouragement I needed to hear. I plan on "making the plunge" at 36. I've been dreaming of being a nurse for years and if I don't try I'll never be happy with myself.
  8. Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. LOL meanmaryjean. Is that how you came up with your username? Just joking please don't take me seriously. But I agree with you. NeoNatMom I'm sure you will do fine. We all have faith in you!! Relax you got this. If you've been studying, and I'm sure you have. Good Luck! Let us know how you do.
  10. Awesome thank you I have my answer. Wasn't sure if I was doing it correctly
  11. I'm studying a Kaplan practice test and I have no idea what x grain means. Lol And the problem goes like this: The physician orders codeine 60 mg and aspirin X grains. Each codeine tab contains 15 mg of codeine. Each aspirin tab contains 325 mg. Which of the following should the nurse administer? (Round the number to the nearest whole #) I know the answer is 4 codeine tabs but how many aspirin tabs. My choices are 2,3,or 4 aspirin tablets. Thanks in advance for your help!!
  12. I start my lpn program november 3rd. Monday-Friday 6pm-11pm. Ill be doing this while working 32 hours in a medical office. Im can't begin to tell you guys how happy I am but also nervous and kind of doubting myself. I know I can complete the program, but im a single mom of a teenager and I worry about time away from her and more worried about when clinicals start will my job have a problem with me leaving early two days a week. Clinical hours will be 3-11. I took an cna class but not yet certified because I choose to jump right into lpn school. I think I should get certified first just in case my job gives me problems so ill have an backup plan. Any advice is appreciated Thanks for sharing everyone, I really love this thread!!
  13. I'm sorry but I don't see how LOL is demeaning. It's another way to refer to grandmom. Now it would be different if she was called an old fart. Or walked up to her and called her an little old lady (And for all you very sensitive people out there Im not calling the LOL an old fart, IJS!)
  14. All my decisions will be made with this. Lol! Thanks!
